We’re already seeing it again with the Sheridan Gorman tragedy: twisting a preventable act into confusion, bad luck, or “wrong place at the wrong time,” while sympathy is redirected to the perpetrator instead of the victims. In this environment, victims are minimized, and responsibility disappears. This is what happens when leaders become so ideologically rigid they treat their own righteousness as untouchable. No reassessment. No accountability. And no place for public safety when it conflicts with the narrative. Katie was 20 years old. She mattered. The other young woman mattered. Every person injured that night matters. They will not be erased to protect political careers, or the media that shields them. If nothing changes, it will be business as usual. And that should outrage every person in Illinois.

🐺: As Nu said, I also read the feedback about me. I feel a bit shy talking about it. So, regarding my hairstyle, I’ve actually been thinking about it for a while and discussing with my stylist whether I should change it or try something new. Because depending on the work… what do you call it? Confidence in yourself. Sometimes, if the style is too much, I may feel less confident, or if it’s too much, it’s not suitable for the event. But now I’m trying to be more diverse and trying to change more. I’m trying more with some events because some styles are really about my confidence. Because sometimes, when I have long hair, I really want to get a haircut. I feel like I have to guess my hair. And I feel confident about my hair like this. For anyone who really knows me, they’ll understand that I take my hair seriously. I touch it so much that my stylist even complains, and Nu complains too. Because I’m confident in that style. But sometimes I don’t stick to that style all the time. Last summer I found myself sitting in a room in Switzerland surrounded by world leaders from completely different industries, all talking about the future of our planet. A very different environment to what I was used to! I was invited onto to a channel to give my take on leadership with my best mate and brother Jay. We talked about leadership and what it meant to us both. I always used to think leaders were born but it’s far from the truth…. They are made. My biggest realisation was that we talk a lot about leadership like it’s confidence and certainty. Like leaders always know what to do. The truth is they don’t… and that’s ok. But good leaders will go seek out better answers and grow. While poor leaders will leave it to someone else to do or turn a blind eye. The day made me realise most of my growth has come from failing. I try to lead with my best intentions, but upon reflection or feedback, I realise there was a better way to do it and then next time…. I lead better and the process repeats! And that day forced me to look at myself properly. As for me, leadership isn’t a title, or being a CEO or having an armband. It’s influence. And that’s the scary part, because everyone has it. Even my two young kids. Every morning before school I tell them the same thing: Be the sunshine in the room ☀️ Because whether we like it or not, we’re leading every single day. In the changing room. Governor Pritzker’s comments are reckless and dishonest. Governor JB Pritzker Claiming the President Donald J. Trump is sending troops as part of some political conspiracy isn’t just false; it’s dangerous. It erodes trust in our institutions and fuels the very chaos Pritzker FAILED to control in his own state of Illinois. The President of the United States, applying federal government resources, has a sworn duty to protect and safeguard citizens and communities across America, and uphold law and order when state leaders refuse to do their jobs. What’s truly un-American is ignoring lawlessness while attacking those who are simply trying to restore order and integrity. Maybe if Governor Pritzker spent less time inventing conspiracies, spewing propaganda and throwing blame where it doesn’t exist, and more time fixing the many problems he’s created in Illinois, his citizens wouldn’t be fleeing for safer, freer places to live. AND addressing your BS directly, I never spoke to Donald J. Trump about any of this. There is ample evidence of that. Again, when you plan on misinforming the people of Illinois and America, make sure you have your FACTS straight. For all, this is further proof of how far the radical left has moved in our country. I have observed that my message about a curse affecting the chances of the Igbos for their presidential ambition has been grossly misunderstood and misinterpreted. In some quarters, it’s been perceived as my hatred for the tribe and my support for the current administration. It’s important for me to clarify that there has never been a time when my messages or prophecies expressed my hatred for any tribe for whatever reason. I love everyone regardless of their tribe, and this is why my church has a mixture of several tribes and ethnic groups, because we don’t segregate; we treat everyone respectfully, regardless of what they represent. My statement about the Igbo curse is more of a solution towards getting the presidency than what it’s been perceived to be. I issue warnings to people most of the time, and these warnings, if well followed, will definitely provide solutions to whatever problems it was issued for. I am not against Igbo presidency, and this is why I shared the secret of cleansing the tribe of the curse that has been blocking their progress regarding presidency. A few days ago, at the meeting of the Senate Committee on Local Content, I had cause to recuse myself when I got to know that it was an investigative hearing summoned to investigate allegations of diversion of $14.8m against the former Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva. As I explained, I attended believing it was an interactive forum with the Executive Secretary and his team. When I discovered that the hearing was specifically summoned for that purpose, I raised objections—firstly, on the ground that there should be no selective inquiry; that the entirety of the management of the fund, perhaps from inception, should be investigated, if at all, and not just one transaction. While the committee has the powers to decide what to investigate, I feel that this approach is too selective, especially bearing in mind that it is public knowledge that the EFCC has already taken steps — meaning they have investigated and reached a certain level. I thought the Committee need not investigate that particular transaction, even though it has the powers to do so. I recused myself because the person affected is a former governor of my state — my predecessor in office, and I have a policy of not joining to fight or pull down anyone. I am not like other politicians from my area or the typical politicians in Nigeria who celebrate the downfall of opponents and people they disagree with. The person concerned and I have been on different ends, leading different tendencies in various political battles in my state since 2011 till date. While we do not meet or speak or pursue any common political agenda, and we have not been in the same party since 2011, I do not practise politics that involves pulling people down or contributing to their problems. I have always limited political contest to campaigns during elections, where I outplan, out-campaign, strategize, and defeat them on the ground and through legal processes, but never by trying to bring anyone down after elections. As part of this policy I have extended support and encouragement to all who operate at the federal level in spite of political or partisan differences, knowing that if political interests do not align until elections, we will then resolve such differences at the polls. As I have always told our people, “we are few”; everyone is important. If you cannot help someone, leave the person alone, and don't destroy them. That has been my policy, which I have practised and taught for several years. As I have always maintained, I am in politics for service to God and man — I build, I raise, I develop, I defend; I don't destroy or pull down. I know that they don’t treat me the same way. When they are in a position to bring me down, they don't spare anything to achieve that goal, but to the glory of God, they have not succeeded so far, and God is still on His throne. I know these are very trying times, particularly for the people affected, and I do not intend to add to anyone’s problems. It is God who has always fought my battles and has ensured that my opponents, despite all they do using federal power or federal might, blackmail or propaganda, incitements, in spite of all these, they have not defeated my tendency till date. Even when all the major political figures unite against me, backed by federal might and greater resources, they still lose, as my politics is achored on God and the support and prayers of men — not on violence, destruction and pulling people down or celebrating their misfortune and downfall. It is on account of this that I explained my position to my colleagues in the committee, who saw reason with me, and I left. As a former governor, I feel I have a lifelong responsibility of support and fairness to all Bayelsans; which is why I have protected, supported, and encouraged all persons from my state, from the Niger Delta region, and all Nigerians, irrespective of party, till date on all issues that have been brought before me.

🐨 So sometimes when I can’t sleep, or work, or just life itself feels terrifying. It’s scary—just the act of living. There are times when the fact that this life goes on day after day feels really frightening. Because every day you have to feed yourself, you have to do things, and so life and death, the fact that morning comes and another day starts, it can feel wonderful at times, but there are also parts of life where it presses down on you, like a kind of light depression. This feeling that you have to keep doing something every single day In the end, that’s why it’s important to have your own sphere, your own beliefs, hopes, and goals. That’s why even though nights are really hard for me right now, even though I feel anxious, when I think about releasing an album next year and being with you all again, jumping around and having fun together, my mood already lifts So I say to myself, Next year I have to at least see this before I die, not to speak lightly about death but as a kind of joke. I think, Even if I’m sick, I have to see your faces before I’m sick. I live day by day with that feeling. That’s why I want to work better too, and I believe everything I see, hear, and feel now will help with our next album and whatever I do in the future.
