Please listen, and share. Mayor Brandon Johnson held a press conference to announce what he calls the Protecting Renters Ordinance. But we're not playing these games anymore. Chicago taxpayers know the city paid 9,000 dollars a month to house illegal aliens, while many Chicago citizens were pushed out of apartment buildings because landlords could receive higher payments. We also know proposals were made to protect those illegal aliens from eviction, even as many Chicago citizens continued to struggle. So here's my question: Where was the Protecting Homeownership Ordinance? When property taxes on the South and West Sides skyrocketed, and in some cases tripled, why wasn't there an ordinance to protect Chicago homeowners? Why wasn't there a property tax freeze for the citizens who worked their entire lives to pay off their homes, only to risk losing them because of rising taxes? Why wasn't an executive order issued to protect Chicago citizens? As Mayor, my administration will end Chicago's sanctuary city policies, and Chicago citizens will come first. When I propose a property tax freeze or homeownership protections, there will be no confusion about who those policies are for, they will be for the citizens of Chicago. I will not apologize for putting Chicago citizens first. That's exactly what I intend to do as Mayor. Over 80 million euros raised for research! What an incredible experience it has been to support this cause. A huge thank you to all those who have shown generosity, those who all over France have or will organize solidarity demonstrations, to those who marched, devoted their time as volunteers, to those who worked for months to prepare this campaign, to the artists who performed, producers and hosts and of course, to the families and their inspiring children who joined us to tell their stories. We are strongest when we are united, coming together to find a brighter future for children living with rare diseases. Thank you again.

These detainees are living in cages—they are essentially packed into cages, wall to wall. The only thing inside those cages are their bunk beds, and there are three tiny toilets.” This is the hill Democrats have chosen to die on—if they fought half as hard for American citizens as they do for illegal immigrants, maybe we wouldn’t have so many homeless veterans living on the streets.
