I get the interest of folks in using sweep vs slide but sliding occurs in more than two planes the two terms can actually be a little confusing to learners as opposed to just just giving clear instructions about where and how to slide IMO.

Agree, but I consistently make an effort to reinforce these terms with both myself and learners. This practice is beneficial when remotely reviewing images and providing feedback (though it could be argued that instructors proficient in face-to-face communication can effectively convey information virtually without using these terms). Not surprisingly, significant variability is seen in real-world scenarios.

I think watching screen and aligned orientation marker will help the learner to understand movement and image relation. Let us ask them to show that without looking at patient, once probe touches patient .

The usefulness of the fibrillar pattern and pennation angle in the ultrasound diagnosis of muscle injury A 17-year-old patient who, while braking while playing football, feels a sharp pain in the anterolateral region of the proximal third of the thigh that prevents him from continuing to play sports. Typically, the axial plane (the short axis of the muscle) is used to study fibrillar tears, with a high diagnostic sensitivity. When performing TEE, don’t chase the multiplane angle (rotation sign). Chase the anatomy. Identify the landmarks that define the target view and use probe manipulation to bring those structures into the imaging plane. The angle displayed on the screen is only a guide #echofirst

RAW video of the air cannon launch into EF5-strength suction vortex on May 20 this year. I have finally analyzed the live data from the probe, which shows an ~80 mb drop from the Dominator, outside of the tornado, to the core of the tornado. A second dramatic dip in pressure is attributed purely to vertical velocity as the parachute probe lofts upward through the #tornado. I am working to estimate the height of the probe from our 2-3 camera angles, since the GPS failed. We are still working to recover this parachute probe!

This is called a Pettlebell Handle. The main benefit of the handle is the overload of the strength at a higher point in the range due to the modified position of the center of resistance (dumbbell) in relation to the axis of rotation (elbow). In other words, it's great for curls.

Police forces have arrested male Syrian national, 22, in connection with the discovery of a woman’s body in a wooded area in Maibara City, reports the Asahi Shimbun (Feb. 18). Between 7:40 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on March 14 last year, Mohammed Hammoud allegedly moved the body of Mayumi Kiriyama, 64, from her home in the town of Tarui, Gifu Prefecture to a mountain forest in Oshimizu, Maibara. Kiriyama’s body was found lying face-down and wrapped in a futon in the forest in Oshimizu on April 2. The body was clothed in a long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans. The results of an autopsy revealed the cause of death to be asphyxiation due to compression of the neck, police said.

Excited to announce our new preprint! We developed a method to automatically extract standard 2D views from 3D echocardiography volumes. This method allows for novel approach to echo acquisition: Instead of moving the probe across patients chest in the search of standard views, a sonographer would only have to place the probe in the apical position to capture the whole snapshot of the heart, which is then decomposed into all standard views with the similar quality to the views obtained in the traditional pipeline. That way we benefit from the speed of 3D acquisition while allowing clinicians to preserve their familiar 2D interpretation workflow.

He argued that consciousness is non-local, meaning it is not bound by space and time and can exist independently of the physical body.
