Another classic turns 40 this year: Bubble Bobble (Taito), created by Fukio Mitsuji. I played this first at the arcades, then later on my C64 and Amiga. The ports were brilliant and came quite close to the original arcade version. Great in single-player, even better in two-player mode. 99 levels (plus one final boss level), with hidden bonus levels, an iconic soundtrack, the cutest player characters (even the enemies looked adorable), Bubble Bobble was super addictive right from the start. Every so often I walk along my shelves and pick an old game (old as in 35+ years) and give it another go. Some have aged badly. Bubble Bobble is a great example of a timeless game. It's still fun today, especially when you play it with a friend.

I had to take a ride to Walmart yesterday to pick up a mouse for my awesome laptop that my very special lady got me for my upcoming birthday. It's always an adventure walking into that place. Seeing this kid and his grandma there would have been one of the more normal sites. Here's a question, how do these goth kids walk around in 90° weather with the sun beating down on them, all dressed in black from head to toe?

📡 Today I built a HTTP proxy that lets all the old computers in the world surf the web too Browsers from before 2013 don't support modern HTTPS so they literally can't acces any website That's very sad for all the old cute retro computers who also wanna go on the internet 😞 So to be inclusive, I vibecoded my own web-based proxy, and it lets them browse HTTPS websites and search Google Here's how it looks on my physical box that I built by installing a Raspberry Pi 5 into this Checkmate retro display and hooking it up with an 8BitDo keyboard and mouse and dial-up internet connection Inb4 why, it's fun!!! You can try it live on in Internet Explorer, I set it as the homepage

A homeowner in Canada caught these guys dumping their old couches into the woods across from their property. They chased them down and made them go back and pick it up and then made sure they went to the dump to dispose of them like they should have in the first place. This is the way.

Happy birthday, Bubble Bobble! It was released exactly 40 years ago today, on June 16, 1986. The arcade version was absolutely brilliant, being one of the first games to have a coop-multiplayer option. It was also one of the the most ported arcade games in history, with over 20 ports to home computers and consoles, including even the legendary TI-84 Plus (primarily a calculator). The port that got the highest praise and came closest to the original arcade experience was the C64 version. Excellent graphics, one of the most recognizable tunes , and great gameplay make Bubble Bobble a timeless classic. My brother and I played the crap out of this one back in the day, and we still load it up on my old C64 when he comes for a visit. It's like riding a bike, you never forget how to play Bubble Bobble.

A man in Canada met up with a doctor at a Tim Horton’s. Not for coffee, but to discuss the option of MAID. The man was suffering from Crohn's disease and depression. The doctor 'evaluated' him outside the coffee shop in a parking lot and decided he was a candidate for MAID. But here's the even crazier part that I haven't heard the media talk about. After texting the patient a personal euthanasia plan, the doctor DROVE the man to an industrial morgue, injected him, and killed him. Paperwork done. On to the next one. This is SICKENING, Canada.

MTMB ARC Here's an older example with Marchionne! My old method didn't use masks, but now that I use them it's made the process a lot easier! You can see that it takes multiple layers to create a set. But what's amazing is that you can mix and match!~🐦‍⬛
