I believe men do commit more violent crime than women. I also believe we don't actually know the numbers when it comes to women because women are far less likely to be charged/ arrested when they commit violent crime than men. The number of times I've seen the same story in which a woman gets violent with a man, the man does NOT respond with violence but he's still the one who goes to jail, is beyond ridiculous. The problem is always the context they want to leave out. In the majority of domestic violence cases she started the fight, but he's stronger so has the potential to do more damage. As a result if police are called out, they work on the basis of the stats and before asking any questions often just arrest him.
