Vancouverites deserve a summertime fireworks celebration. At City Hall, we were incredibly disappointed to learn of the cancellation of the 2026 Celebration of Light. The Celebration of Light is not an ordinary concert or festival, it’s the largest community event in BC. It’s free, it’s family friendly, and a significant contributor to the local economy. That's why I'm excited to be bringing forward a motion to Council that will see the City of Vancouver dedicate $2 million towards a one time, one night fireworks celebration in Summer 2026! Six Savannah Police Department employees have been fired, and are all under investigation for misuse of flock camera data.. four of them are police officers, using the technology to harass families. One actually used it to follow, and harass her ex-husband‘s new wife. Technology is a double edged sword, and unfortunately, in the wrong hands it always gets misused, and it’s always the innocent people that suffer.
