But this clip, in the aftermath of the Falklands War, remains one of the most iconic moments in British politics. Thatcher didn’t just talk about defending British territory. She did it. Margaret Thatcher and Britain’s Armed Forces defended the Falklands when Argentina invaded. If the Falklands were threatened again today, I’m genuinely not convinced Andy Burnham would have the same resolve.
