The bigger concern is the people who are bothered by this.

I have a war every time with one liberal female coworker who has it going down the back when she replaces it (small office of 10 people, of os us women). I explain everytime that the vent in the ceiling, across from the toilet paper roll, blows down on it no matter heat or a/c on and makes the toilet paper end up unraveling onto the floor when she puts it under not over, here at work...its that really what you want to wipe with? Over instead of under in our office bathroom is the key to clean TP. And no with the past TP shortage we don't want to rip off and toss out what's touching the floor, just dont let it happen!

Seriousness aside, you’re not a psychopath you’re just clean and considerate. When it’s backwards you don’t contaminate the other toilet paper that someone else has to use.When you put it in the front you’re dirty hands end up touching all the toilet paper.That guy is an asshole.

It is far easier to control excessive spinning when it is oriented to the back. It is not as exposed and is neater. I agree about the Feng Shui perspective that it occupies less space, etc.
