Meanwhile in Burkina Faso 🇧🇫, the government is encouraging farmers to produce more and to not worry about selling because, the State buys everything and stockpiles it for the lean season which is the time of year when food reserves are lowest, generally between the last harvest and the new one, then resells it at an affordable price to the people, instead of importing more food.

Cows are environmentally sustainable. Methane from cows is part of the natural carbon cycle that after 10-12 years breaks down into natural CO2 and water. Grass absorbs the CO2 by photosynthesis and the cycle repeatedly continues. It’s time to end this bullshit propaganda based narrative that cows somehow destroy the planet. Farmers are facing huge pressures on a number of fronts and yet, governments are finding numerous ways to make their lives even more difficult. And that’s why farmers are protesting. It’s time for a fair deal for farmers. Farming should be right at the top of government prioritisation and support. Our food security and maintenance of the countryside depends on them. Fulani herdsmen records themselves destroying watermelon crops planted by local farmers and feeds them to their cows. Met a group of dairy farmers at a dairy farm run by the loveliest family (and even encountered a cow named Alia Bhatt!!, due apologies to Ms.Bhatt Alia Bhatt, but she was really a cutie pie!). Unfortunately dairy farmers are struggling with multiple difficulties and many are unable to make ends meet. I intend to write to the concerned ministry to apprise them of the many issues they face including the increased cost of veterinary medicines, lack of adequate insurance coverage and difficulty in accessing good quality cattle feed. My gratitude to the many farmers who were kind enough to spend a lot of time explaining these issues to me. I will do whatever I can to help.

Just bought six lactating cows from an old client of mine. Trying to catch up to farmers market demand this year. They just got milked and are an easy going group. Disposition is one of the main things I look for. Life’s too short to deal with crazy cows.

The white house acknowledged that when they agreed to give a handout to farmers to offset the costs on these farmers from these tariffs. They do not want a handout. They just want to simply produce their crops. Their lives are being made more difficult because of the president's failed economic policy.
