No one is going to save us. We're on track to lower prices, but it takes time. Biden depleted our reserves. Trump is trying to refill them. High prices are a state issue, not federal. State taxes determine the high prices. I live in California, I know for a fact.

I made some comment the other day about how diesel went up a dollar within minutes of the first rocket fired in anger. I got taken to task by people saying I don't know jack all about supply and demand. When the fuel still in the ground has its price raised with no discernible consumer behavioral changes - that's just greed. Don't get me started on the other side of that - banks/card processor limits consumption to $100 thus requiring multiple iterations of swiping and filling. Six+ dollars a gallon doesn't go very far $100 at a time.
