It’s quite interesting how Eye Tracking input is almost the perfect replacement for the DS stylus in games like this It makes me believe that if you release a non-VR game on a headset like this: the menu/settings system should be permanently split from the main gaming window

I really do miss the days when PCs were the bleeding edge of tech, I miss when I wasn't thinking "man I wish I had a vision pro for this" because my PC already did it I have an eyetracking capable headset, yet can't make use of this really cool use case

i wonder if there’s a path to get poke walker working too! 🥹, I know this works on steamOS:

I almost imagine this concept working extremely well on a display enabled smart glasses When they don’t die within an hour of usage with that display on

tbh I unironically want some kind of smart glasses + eye tracking + TV/PC combo for this kind of UX, it'd be so nice

Menus blocking the game view is a pet peeve of mine lol, so I hope we eventually get this for all games. There's so much potential for enhancing non-VR games in VR. Better menus, good stereoscopic 3D, dynamic themed VR environments. I want all of it. :)

That looks like a REALLY good user experience.

Yep. So much UI can be put on the side of the game's screen. Inventory, world map, journal, etc. Truly some sort of 2.5d gaming.

Hopefully @nintendo 🇯🇵 are planning their own XR gaming headset, could be so ideal & fun if done right ᯅ 🍄🌟! Until then, hopefully they may test the waters with a few Nintendo apps on Apple Vision Pro 🙌 @NintendoAmerica @mariokarttourEN @thetruebowser @PokemonTCGP @Pokemon

I'm used to touch typing, so when in XR, I usually point and interact without looking at it (or right after averting my gaze to somewhere else). To me, UI interaction with eye tracking feels like such a slowdown 😭

With a majority of Pokemon gameplay being Dpad + A/B I wonder how far we are from microgesture-controlled GBA emulators on Display glasses.

Looks looks really neat, I hope I'll be able to do something similar with the Steam Frame if I manage to get my hands on it
