I love books, and I'm an avid reader, but I just have a hard time because of the way that I perceive. "I've had a great sort of - one side of me anyways - was really satisfied by art and drawing and sculpture and sort of visual expression. And I think that that started to, you know, was the thing that kind of made me feel un-frustrated. And also the way the system was designed, sort of not to support me when I was in high school at that time. "It was very difficult, you know, there was a lot of, you know, just, difficulty. My English teacher in high school was worried about what my career would be, and I'm like. He would be happy to know that I'm in the Writers Guild of America now. "But, I think that that all those things are, they're all... you can transcend all those things with perseverance and with interest and with with help. And I think that that's an important part of it. "And I just think I've had to adapt, and sort of... I have my own style of the way I write, I write all, you know, but I'm pretty prolific. And I love- I listen to tons of audio books on tape, unabridged hours and hours and hours. That's all I do when I'm driving in the car or wherever I'm doing. And it's helped me a lot. Don’t let the cycle of election fool you , narrow your vision and make you blind to see the real oppression. Almost a year ago, a 700 years old Masjid and Madarsa was as bulldozed along with hundreds of graves in Delhi. The authorities even took out the burial stones to check if these graves had bodies in them. It was just a year ago, when a monument which was even protected by the High Court, was obliterated, it was just a year ago that kids were forces to stand in shivering winter without jackets or slippers and were made to watch their belongings crushed to ground, it was a year ago that this communal demolition took place in Delhi. Today, in the election festival, we seemed to have forgotten all. Isn’t these elections a lollipop given to forget these systemic oppression?

Starting your life over isn’t just about cutting people off, leaving your ex or moving. It’s also about looking in the mirror and recognizing the part you played in the cycle. You can’t heal without admitting the truth about yourself. It’s your responsibility to recognize it. No one else’s As a woman who considers herself a powerhouse, I thought being a powerhouse meant being harsh & mean. simply because I was treated like trash as well before. OTD 28 years ago "The Strike" aired, and the world learned about "Festivus." We spoke with Dan O'Keefe whose father created Festivus. Dan was Not a fan of the episode, did Not want the episode to air, and to him, Festivus brings back deep rooted trauma. Dan explains: The way people adopted it, I didn’t see that coming. You gotta understand, I’ve been saying this for a while, yeah, that was my father, he was mentally ill and a drunk, but extremely brilliant. For whatever reason he invented this weird fucking extra holiday that was celebrated at random times. It did not have a set date. It was extremely upsetting. It was like borderline child endangerment, and it was not fun. So my brothers and I had this deal: you do not talk about it outside of the house, and we just try to pretend it’s not happening. But I didn’t pitch it, I didn’t want it to go in. I hoped it would fail and be edited out, and nevertheless, the damn thing survived. The reality is far weirder. I have the CDs that were remastered from the cassette tapes my dad used to make during the annual recording of this insanity, which is mostly him screaming about internal Reader’s Digest politics in a deep slur while my brothers are crying and my mom is telling him to simmer down. That was not something I agitated for, quite the reverse. So how do I feel about it taking off? I try to block it out. This holiday was basically an encapsulation of alcoholism and mental illness into one neat little wrapper. I was as surprised as anyone. I was not a booster of this. I was surprised it got on the air. I am beyond surprised that it seems to be something that has, to some extent, legs. There are still a few people who celebrate it. Good for them. I do not personally. I did my time on that in the ’70s and ’80s. Jerry Stiller made it fun. The real thing was terrifying, obviously, and you understood why George was not in favor of it. But he made it fun, and it was Jeff Schaffer’s joke—the idea to give it a pole. That was not the case. The real symbology of it was more peculiar and not as wholesome as an aluminum pole with a good strength-to-weight ratio.

I do not personally. I did my time on that in the ’70s and ’80s. Jerry Stiller made it fun. The real thing was terrifying, obviously, and you understood why George was not in favor of it. But he made it fun, and it was Jeff Schaffer’s joke—the idea to give it a pole. That was not the case. The real symbology of it was more peculiar and not as wholesome as an aluminum pole with a good strength-to-weight ratio.

Changmin’s Ending Ment at Nissan Stadium 2026 🏟️💜 "Well, this is actually my third time standing on the stage of this great stadium. To be honest, even just a year ago, I didn't expect or hope for this to happen ever again I had been thinking about it secretly, and I even told the fans on social media, 'I want to stand in Nissan once more' For me even after 20 years since my debut Nissan Stadium was like a new hope, a goal, and a dream Now that this dream has come true again, I am incredibly happy, but to be honest, I also feel a slight sense of emptiness alongside that happiness If I’m being frank, it feels as if the mission is already accomplished and over. Of course, I hope to meet you all again in this wonderful place, and I will undoubtedly continue to work hard and give all my energy for you in the future. However, truthfully, I prepared for this show with the thought in mind that this might be the last time I stand in a majestic place like Nissan Stadium -🙄- I don’t know what the future holds, but the important thing is that I did my absolute best for all of you. Maybe the performance wasn’t 100% perfect, or maybe there were aspects that didn’t quite meet my ambitions, but on a personal level, the '2026 Nissan Stadium Live' was so much fun, and I don’t have a single regret. I was listening to a sermon recently from one of my favorite teachers, Tim Keller, who sadly passed from this earth earlier this year. He was talking about the power and meaning of the words “Peace On Earth”. I was deeply encouraged and challenged to consider the significance of those words, particularly what they meant when announced by the angels 2000 years ago, and what they mean to us in 2023. As I was reflecting on all of that in light of what’s happening in my life personally with family and friends as well as in the world as a whole, I started thinking about a song I wrote a few years ago with my friend Tom Douglas called “A Desperate Benediction (Peace on Earth)” and suddenly found myself rewriting some of the words of this song, specifically related to right now...Christmas 2023. I’m not even sure as a songwriter what the rules are on this kind of a thing, but I felt strongly that I wanted to share it with you…So here you go. Peace on Earth, Christmas 2023.
