This mindset is for f*gs and losers. No blackpilling.

You can sound really smart by saying very scary things and acting like you don’t want them to be true, but that you simply can’t deny reality. Page out of Ray Dalio’s book

This is peak fear mongering, what about the job of a plumber, roofer, hvac, salesman, client relations, coaching and on and on and on. It’s simple, this world has a lot of lazy people in It, don’t be one of them.

Eric Weinstein: Say the most vague shit possible, sound deep, everyone thinks you're smart because they don't get it but you haven't said anything

No one loves the smell of their own farts more than Eric

This is what happens when you're society is hijacked by a secret society of Jewish Capitalists. They remove the belief in God and give nobody a reason to live and make everything materialistic. Communism is created by these same perpetrators and same outcome.

Happy Friday! I'll never think about that again

@Rothmus oh yea it’s soooo over 😆

How ready are you?

Everywhere is over except Israel, right Eric?

Oh fuck off. Eric is a hyperbolic technocrat.

you need to be goldenretrievermaxxing

Eric has proven himself to be retarded in his predictions over and over again. I ain't putting any stock into his blackpilling.

I completely understand the pessimism and nihilism. I have experienced it as well in life. But I know one thing for sure, and it is that the Holy Word of God proclaims to us what is coming. If we continue to ignore it, then we will not know how to respond to the days ahead. Jesus is the meaning and purpose of life. Knowing Him does not spare us suffering in this life, BUT, He is coming to make all things new at the end of the age... a world without all of this current madness and insanity we see now. Our lives are not meaningless... John 3:16/21, Revelation 21:4.

Dude tells you everything is over than 55 seconds later proceeds to tell you I have no idea what’s coming…

😂

I’ll never understand confident pessimists. I don’t know if they secretly get off on the idea that they “knew it all along” or can later say “I told you so,” or if they genuinely think they’re doing people a service by talking this way. The reality is that it’s extremely counterproductive, especially if you actually care about avoiding (or at least softening) the bad outcome. This approach breeds fear, anxiety, and a widespread loss of hope for the future. The future has always belonged to optimistic and ambitious people. He might not be wrong about some of the risks, and I don’t think we need to sugarcoat the real downsides AI will bring. But this isn’t the way to talk about it. There aren’t only downsides, there are massive upsides too, and many of the worst downsides are avoidable if we focus our energy less on accepting that “everything as we know it is over” and more on figuring out how to approach this the right way. If we all just sit back and repeat “it’s so over,” we have no chance of steering things better, because mentally it’s already game-over for the people saying it. That’s just a terrible way to keep people informed. The gloomer mindset isn’t a productive one.

OMG, @ericweinstein The melodramatics are nauseating ...

AI is not what we should be fearing. Being replaced by 3rd world brown people should be on the top of everyone’s shit list. Push back against this with all of your might, or it WILL be over

@Selkis_2028 I live in the middle of nowhere and grow everything, my biggest issue might be theft. But I have like minded neighbors. Anyone who wanted my stuff would have to travel a long way. But I also have guns.

“I have no fucking clue what’s going on, be afraid”

"It's over" doesn't have to mean in a bad way ...just that the impact will be so broad. It will be a legit paradigm shift. It will impact *everybody*, so the field will be leveled like we've never seen before. He gives good advice Learn stuff Expand your horizon Be flexible

A tsunami is coming and he wants you to paddle out? Tsunami's aren't rideable. Not even the whitewater. That's certain death. His metaphor sucks. You run for the highest place as quick as you can. You don't ride it out, you wait it out. While you're waiting it out, you build skills, community and resources...and hope it doesn't last very long.

Tired of all the doomerism. This world is what we choose it to be. We just have to have the balls

For some reason when @ericweinstein starts talking about his Golden Retriever in this clip he reminds me of Stan Beeman from The Americans.

Actually the AI hit a pretty big wall in the last couple of weeks, idk all the details but I do know that IBM is hiring back a few thousand human beings they had axed in lieu of the AI god they all worship. Things are always better than some people say and worse than what others say.

There’s very little difference between the pablum that guy is so lackadaisically emoting and the mere blinking of the last man

AI doom is the new global warming.

@ClarkforNTexas But there’s this. This number shocked me like never before. WTH is going on?
