I would not be able to abide by HOA rules. I would break the rules out of sheer spite. It would not end well.

Hate to say it but, I’m on his side. You willingly signed up for an HOA then you have to play by the rules you agreed to.

HOAs are the worst. It's like living in a communist country where you have no property rights. In most states you can dissolve an HOA if you get 80%-90% of the residences to agree.

Oh this is an easy one: the HOA has to receive the complaint, then send the management company out to witness the infraction, then they company has to send a warning letter, then time passes and they follow up before another warning letter (how many you get depends on your bylaws), and then you get a letter warning of a fine, then you get fined. So this process can take months. Meanwhile if you move the trailer and the HOA company sees it gone then the process starts all over again.(Note: all HOAs are different, but this is generally how they operate in my experience) Also, this kind of harassment from your neighbor can allow you to put trespassing notices on your neighbor. And this ‘man’ won’t be able to contain himself so he will violate that trespass notice and you can have him arrested. Fun times.
