Our controllers are working WITHOUT pay. These are American families who live paycheck to paycheck. It’s time for Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries to quit their games and reopen the government.

Americas need to understand: we’re asking our Air Traffic Controllers to now work not just 5 days a week, but sometimes 6 days a week and 50+ hours, WITHOUT PAY. This is all with the addition of needing a side job like driving for DoorDash just to put food on the table. Democrats, Air Traffic Controllers are working hard for YOU! End the shutdown now and get these controllers their paychecks.

I spent the day talking to air traffic controllers. These hardworking Americans need the shutdown to end so they can get paid for the important work they do everyday to keep us flying. Even with the government shutdown expected to draw to a close this week, chaos at the airports is persisting, with the Federal Aviation Administration ordering airports to cancel 6% of flights on Tuesday and ramp that number up to 10% on Friday. TSA employees and air traffic controllers are considered essential workers – but while they were expected to work throughout the shutdown, they have not been paid, with air traffic controllers missing their second full paycheck on Tuesday. Yesterday saw another horrible record set: 84% of delays were due to staff shortages. If this shutdown doesn’t end now, air traffic controllers will receive another $0 paycheck. Many controllers are not coming to work because they have to find a job that WILL pay them so they can survive. Democrats, the ball is in your court. Vote to reopen the government NOW so these hardworking Americans aren’t put in this terrible position.
