With his big spending and big immigration policies, Albanese's Labor government has ensured that more rate increases will occur. Forget the excuses and the spin, when your mortgage payments rise next time, blame Albanese. The sheer scale of immigration we have seen so far is shocking. We are expecting more than 500,000 new migrants this year alone. This is unsustainable, reckless, and deeply irresponsible. Had Albanese announced, prior to the election, that he intended to raise immigration to over 500,000 a year in his first year in office, he would not be Prime Minister today. The Australian people do not want this. Albanese could rectify this situation tomorrow, but he refuses to do so. A responsible government would adopt One Nation's policy of net-zero immigration and raise the requirements for Australian citizenship. Anthony Albanese has once again failed the basic test of leadership. Instead of standing up for taxpayers, he has closed ranks around a minister accused of wasting public money. When integrity is tested, this government reaches for the curtain every time, choosing secrecy over accountability. Australians deserve a Prime Minister who protects them, not one who shields waste and excuses conduct that would see any other Australian held to account. The Prime Minister must refer this matter to the head of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet for a full investigation into whether his own ministerial code has been breached. And Anika Wells should stand aside while that investigation takes place. Taxpayers deserve nothing less.

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Sunday attended the condolence ceremony for Walat Tahir, a security officer at Erbil International Airport, who was martyred as a result of the attacks on Kurdistan Region’s capital. The Prime Minister conveyed his condolences and sympathy to the martyr’s parents and relatives.
