i've been doing this transition from Outkast into this post-punk classic for the last 10 years and it still hits 🥲🥲🥲

people saying DJ AM did this transition first... genuinely had no idea. but that's one of the greatest djs all of time and he was LA genre-blending royalty. listening to him and early hollertronix were inspirational for me early on for djing style

post-punk revival* my bad guys

Wtf I would go absolutely nuts upon hearing Banquet

It’s because Bloc Party also fucks very hard like OutKast

If I heard these two songs back to back with that seamless transition I would immediately be convinced the DJ was telepathically reading my mind and start freaking out

it’s perfect 😭

“Post-punk”? It’s a fire transition but that’s post-punk revival, garage rock, indie sleaze etc. not post-punk

post-punk revival is more correct, my bad

Man this is straight up Making Time Philadelphia circa 2004

definitely hollertronix type transition too

My man, coming in with the Bloc Party! Let’sssssss goooooooooo

Where can I listen to the full set.

right here! it's from Rash in brooklyn for halloween.

woulda set cinespace on fire in 2006

Is it a dance remix of banquet or the straight album version?

it's the album version

Post punk classic, and its Bloc Party. Just how old am I 😭😭😭

I'm not a big Outkast or Bloc Party fan, but god damn boi. This hits. Kudos.

This goes dummy hard, I love unexpected blends like this, one of my favourites to do is Jay Z - Big Pimpin' into Benga - Crunked Up

All these mfs arguing post-punk, post-punk revival. Bitch, it can be CM Punk it’s fucking fire

great transition

In all fairness, B.O.B. is and remains an absolute banger! Definitely a smooth transition as well! @BigBoi

Post punk?

post punk revival

DUDE

I knew what it was going to be from the first hint (Silent Alarm is very dear to me), but I didn’t think it would work so well!! Really great stuff

Going crazy at Rash hahaaaa

What’s he even doing? What is a dj? He’s just randomly twisting knobs

me 🤝you playing banquet out for years

DJ AM was doing this 20 years ago

@Acai28 bro wait for it

I don’t know what type of ‘ism you have, but it’s awesome

Some of these just write themselves. AM did it, I saw PartyBen do this live at Bootie LA or SF years ago, it's still a great pairing. If the floor is full then that's what really matters.

i'd be going absolutely nuts this is amazing

A club playing Bloc Party sounds like a dream!
