I’ve been saying it for years: ICE must be abolished to protect our communities. Fighting back against Trump starts with getting his ICE agents out of our neighborhoods for good. Abolish ICE now.

ICE is separating families & traumatizing our neighbors who provide valuable contributions to our communities. Folks like Jose, Alexis, & Darwin — sons, fathers, & husbands who are loved & whose labor is valued. We must keep fighting for the freedom, dignity, & humanity of our immigrant neighbors.

Assemblymember Mark Gonzalez says I SHOW UP, and he should know because he’s been showing up for his communities for decades. My work in Boyle Heights goes back years, and I’m still showing up and working alongside leaders like Mark to protect our communities and deliver the resources they deserve.

ICE is terrorizing immigrant communities in Minneapolis and across our state- but Minnesotans do not back down in the face of hate. Thank you to every Minnesotan who is standing up and keeping our immigrant neighbors safe.

Today ICE arrested New Yorkers in a shameful raid on Canal Street. I joined my colleagues outside of Federal Plaza to call for Mayor Adams to STAND UP for New York immigrants and REMOVE ICE from NYC. We are a sanctuary city and we will protect our neighbors. #ICEOutofNY

As ICE continues to terrorize our communities, Andy Kim and I are in Bloomfield standing with local activists—defending our democracy, educating people about their rights, and making sure our neighbors know how to protect one another. When we fight, we win!

Last summer, while some Democrats were running from the issue, I stood firm in my commitment to due process and dignity for ALL our neighbors. I've stood shoulder-to-shoulder with our immigrant neighbors my entire life. I always have, and always will.

Our Office of New York City Comptroller Mark Levine was arrested for doing what our elected officials are supposed to do—protect our communities. We aren't going to take this sitting down. Federal Plaza is full of New Yorkers calling for Brad Lander's release and the end of ICE disappearing our neighbors.

ICE is breaking laws and terrorizing our communities. That's why we've introduced the Fight Unlawful Conduct and Keep Individuals & Communities Empowered Act (S3711/A4446), which would allow New Jersey residents to sue ICE for violating our constitutional rights. This is how we protect our neighbors and safeguard our state.

I’ve always fought for immigrant families, and I always will. The treatment of immigrants today is cruel, inhumane, and unacceptable. They are our neighbors. They’re critical pillars of our communities. And they deserve a clear pathway to citizenship. Period.

Masked ICE agents are wreaking havoc on our communities, USDA is cutting critical funding for our state, and the President and federal agencies are lawless. My team and I are working non-stop to stand up for our communities – here’s what I did this weekend. And for the record – I made it back to votes.

I went inside the Burlington ICE facility to demand answers. No medical staff. No transparency. No accountability. ICE is operating in the shadows but I will continue to shine a light on their inhuman practices and working to protect our immigrant neighbors.

ICE makes us less safe, and as Governor, I will treat the protection of every Californian as my most important job. That means rejecting federal overreach and ensuring our infrastructure serves our communities, not a horrific deportation agenda. If you aren’t willing to stand up and protect the people who live, work, and worship in your own community, you have no business running for Governor. And that goes for every Californian, regardless of their immigration status.
