Before doing my media day, I shared a post of loved ones that have passed away to the Maui fires. Seeing faces of children, families, kapunas… it hit me hard. In honor of those lives that have been lost in the fire and to the heroes that are doing what they can, my walk out song is dedicated to you guys. Also in solidarity to the people of Lahaina, I will be wearing red trunks in my fight for the first time. We shall also be assisting other victims across the country with food, blankets, basins, clean water, and temporary tents for the most affected. This one hit me right in the chest. 😢 Hospice worker breaks down sharing the moment a little girl told her dad: “Mommy just told me she’s not gonna be here.” A young mom. Cancer. A daughter who now has to face the unthinkable. The raw pain in her voice… you can feel how heavy this work is. These people see the worst days of families’ lives and still show up. Pray for this family. Pray for the ones carrying these stories every single day. Bless those who are dedicated hospice workers. No idea how you carry that burden.
