More tests with Rive 's new brush tool. I drew the entire scene using the brush, creating different thicknesses for the outline. For the character's animation, I created a simple rig and weighted the different parts of the character to the bones. The fire is a component, also drawn with the brush tool, and I added it to the scene multiple times.

The AI animation space is on fire. I made this in an hour. Nano banana has supercharged character and scene consistency. This was created using a single image - the start frame. Props to for introducing me to Seedance. It's the current front runner for motion.

This video was created using 2 images I made with Grok Imagine. Then I used editing tool of Grok Imagine to change the backgrounds and zoom in on specific areas. The images were then animated with 6-second or 10-second sequences, as needed. I chose the theme of figure skating for the fluidity of the movements, the jumps, the pirouettes which perfectly highlight Grok Imagine's animation capabilities.

I’ve been using Figma way too long not to know this…😳 When I need a static version of a frame to use in a mock-up, graphic or wireframe, I normally export the frame as a png or jpg and drag it back into my Figma project. But this little feature is such a time saver!! It’s the little things…😌 Am I the only one who didn’t know about this??

Using Nano Banana Pro + Sora, I can now create a short video in just about one minute. I’ve been using Kling for a while to make short videos, and while the results can be great, the workflow has always felt a bit heavy for me. Previously, I had to export the video frame by frame as images, then send those keyframes into Kling’s first/last frame mode to generate the in-betweens. It worked, but it took a lot of time and small steps. Recently I realized I don’t necessarily need to do that anymore: now I can use Nano Banana Pro to generate the images, then send them directly to Sora to create the short video—no need to manually extract a specific frame. Another bonus is that Sora also handles basic sound design for you, which saves me from an extra round of editing and makes the whole process feel much lighter. This idea actually came from a post I saw this morning on Twitter by SD | AI Animation Storyteller, which gave me a new way of thinking about my workflow. I’m still experimenting, but so far it’s been a big improvement in efficiency for my use case. I’ve put the detailed steps I’m using in the comments in case anyone wants to try something similar.

[Conceptual] title I created for Project Sunrise D2. ----- I love working in AE on title animations. Very proud of it. Enjoy! We likely will not be using it as It would need to change how the Steam Depot launches. However, Stan and the gang are considering adding it as a toggleable, but I do not want to add more work on his plate. Lastly, You will see the small 'sunrise' animation I created, sprinkled throughout the project.

For the facial animations in my game, I use a technique that yields results similar to L.A. Noire. To keep it simple: I first generate a facial animation video using AI like LTX 2. Then, I create a video depth map from that animation and project it onto a face mask. Using vertex displacement, the depth map dynamically deforms the face as the character speaks. The result looks good in standalone VR. I actually created this workflow long time ago:
