I 100% stand behind rescuing these dogs! 💯 . It’s heartbreaking. 💔 50-60 activists broke into a beagle breeding facility outside Madison, Wisconsin on March 15, taking 23 dogs to an undisclosed location. More than 20 people were arrested. Activists have been trying for years to shut down Ridglan Farms, in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin, which breeds beagles for research. To settle a state investigation last year, the farm agreed to surrender its’ license to sell dogs for research by July 1, 2026. Ridglan Farms has an estimated 2,500 remaining beagles that they need to adopt out as part of a settlement following an animal cruelty investigation. The facility will remain open and can continue breeding dogs for its own internal research until the dogs are adopted out by July 1st. A spokesperson for Ridglan Farms said it relied on state and federal authorities to help them retrieve the dogs. Activists under the banner of the Coalition to Save the Ridglan Dogs claimed to have rescued 23 beagles from substandard conditions and short painful, futures of use in biomedical research. So I heard we need more data for robot learning :) Purely real world teleop is expensive and slow, making large scale data collection challenging. I’ve been excited about getting more data into robot learning, going beyond just real-world teleop data. To this end, we’ve been scaling up data generation with RL in realistic simulations generated on the fly from crowdsourced videos. Enables realistic data collection, much more cheaply than purely real world teleop. Rainy season has arrived and it makes feeding the street dogs a serious challenge… 🥘 We still make food for 800 dogs a day using fresh ingredients ⛈️ Koh Samui is a tropical island so the rainy season can last up to 6-7 weeks. 💦 The downpours are insane. Sometimes they go on for days without a break 🐕 Many of the dogs won’t come out. They find shelter under shacks, or big trees and stay there. Many hate the rain 🐶 Some of the dogs like Mr Fox and Oreo absolutely love the rain. They come out and play in the puddles without a care in the world The dogs get fed every day of the year. If they don’t come out I leave food in various dry places for them. The rain is kinda warm but it’s still pretty horrible to be out in 😅😅😅

It’s a big day for us today. Tina’s hospital has patients being operated on. I remember when I say with her for 6 hours at a time on a drip in my little house I said to myself the street dogs needed better care. I promised her future dogs would have that… 🏥 Today Tina’s field hospital is officially open. We have our full licenses, permits and can operate on dogs. 👨🏽‍⚕️Our first full time vet has started. Dr Signa and our vet assistants and team had a busy day. 🔫 Our first patient was Big Red who has been shot twice. In a 3 hour operation the team removed 2 bullets. 🐕 The hospital is for street dogs and 3 were operated on today. There are another 3 coming in tomorrow. It is changing their lives. 🌴 This is only stage one. The biggest hospital is being built behind this with x ray machines and a lot more advanced equipment. 🩸 Because the hospital and all treatments are 100% free for the Thai community we are softly rolling it out. The rest of 2025 will be about processes and how people can help their dogs. That part won’t be easy or rushed. 🎾 I have to say I had a little tear running down my cheek driving away to a meeting seeing a full medical team working on dogs and changing lives. That is all for Tina and also it’s all funded and supported by people like you reading this. I know she’s watching down on this. A nice little start but so so much more to do now 🙏🥰

One of the most incredible acts of community to help dogs you could ever wish to witness… 🏥 A mobile unit with 10 staff funded to launch on the 8th of December which will sterilize 5000 dogs in rural Thailand in 2026. 💴 Nearly $700,000 raised to fund sterilizing of dogs across South Easy Asia. ✂️ Around 20,000 operations funded in total stopping over a quarter of a million puppies being born into suffering. 🌏 Over 10,000 people donated from around the world to make this a reality. I don’t even want to talk about the running part. People saw the suffering that took on the live streams. That was just something I could do to help the dogs. 💜 I nearly had to pull out. I should never have finished but I had a secret. I’d been up to Albas hill on Friday with Hank. We spoke to her at length and told her what was planned. I told her I knew I could have to go to a place in my mind I’ve never been before but that I’d do it for her. So a quarter of a million dogs wouldn’t have to suffer like she did. To say I am thankful is a huge understatement. You have no idea how many people this impacts who help dogs via Happy Doggo and how many dogs lives are changed because of this. I did the running but this is a global effort of dog lovers doing something amazing in this world.

Probably the proudest day ever today to see what the team Happy Doggo have been working on and rolling out in stages. Apologies for the voice but I had to get out of my sick bed to come and see this… 🐕 The start of our government partnerships sterilizing dogs at scale. All around Samui for the next 3 weeks and the moving to rural Thailand. ✂️ I can explain the amount of planning that goes into this for training staff, licenses, permits and general logistics and safety planning etc. 🇹🇭 What I especially love is that apart from me it was 100% Thai staff and Thai community there today. This is how we will fix the problem. Locals bringing their dogs in. 🎯 The dog catching and darting team are my heroes. Getting those dogs in is exceptionally hard. 💵 There is absolutely no cost for the community. Many of these people are low income community who just can’t afford the care. Having their dogs sterilized is a game changer. For those who support us this is what we can do. 100s of puppies stopped today. People who follow us Happy Doggo love the rescues and the retirement village and the food and the makeovers where dogs have comebacks. But this today is why we really do it. These mobile units will go on to save 1000s of lives this year working on a daily basis in rural Thailand. Big Mac passed yesterday. Decided not much point sitting around. There’s dogs to save… Saving street dogs is my mission but to do that takes a lot of money and a lot of awareness. I wanted to do something to really push things to another level… 🏃‍♂️ I will run a marathon on the 15th November. I have only started training today with 30 days to go. 🏙️ The race is in Bangkok at night. The most I have even run Iy life is 20km 🥘 I have been eating really badly lately and am very unfit. I’m going to share the journey over the next 30 days in what could be one of the stupidest ideas I’ve ever had. I have 3 main reasons to do it… 1. I was to raise awareness for Happy Doggo as a charity. (A follow there helps) 2. I want to try raise money for a mobile sterilizing unit with 10 staff and 2 trucks treating 5000 dogs a year. More on that soon. 3. My mental health hasn’t been amazing lately with so many losses so I wanted a good physical challenge to clear my head. I expect people to say it’s impossible and try talk me out of it like the team here all have! The chances are I’ll probably fail but life is short and I’ve a lot of dogs to help. I got a 5km in today to start which was tough but we are off and running. I’ll be sharing this series over on Happy Doggo daily 🤞🤞🤞

I know there are many people out there who credit dogs for keeping them going, getting through tough times and even saving their lives. I’ve heard the personal stories from 100s of people. Dogs are so pure and unconditional with their support and love. I can’t explain how much pressure and stress I’ve been under the last year and in particular the last 3-4 months. Tina may no longer be with us but it is because of her that I keep going on this mission. In the dark times I think about her face and her warm cosy fur. I’m not sure but were it not for Tina there are times when I might have broken or had to stop such was the suffering and pain we see. So much is about to come together… 📕 In 43 days the book about Tina will be out. It was a work of pure love. But exhausting too emotionally. 🏥 Tina’s field hospital opens on Tuesday with our new vet starting. Her big hospital is also being built. 🎤 I’m doing about 7-8 events in Ireland and England in May followed by the USA telling Tina’s story to 1000s of people. I’m terrified. 🥘 Her little sibling (in my head) Alba has her own kitchen just open feeding 1250 dogs a day ✂️ We have funded over 20,000 sterilising in 2025 already. That’s just a tiny amount of the things happening. We do them all for the street dogs but I personally do them for Tina. Some dogs (and people) shake you and move you to your very core. They are soul dogs. That is Tina for me. I was exhausted and burnt out tonight with so much to juggle so I sat in bed and opened my Tina folder of videos on my phone. I wanted to sleep but just seeing her face made me want to share a little video and write this. She just makes me want to put more good into the world for all to share. Maybe when I get through the next 2 mad months I dream of sitting on a little quiet beach somewhere on my own reading a book, fully offline and just thinking about Tina. I’ll tell her about all that has happened. I’ve not been able to do that yet. But for now there is one more big push needed in Tina’s name 💛💙

Our beautiful old ragamuffin Lola peacefully went to sleep forever. It was her time 🐶🌈 Originally from Romania, Lola had been brought over to a UK rescue. Too feral to rehome she was kept on her own in a cold barn, living in the most squalid conditions. When her rescue was closing down we were asked to help. We can only be there for dogs like Lola thanks to our Golden Paw Club members whose £5 a month enables us to take dogs who need more care. Some would say dogs like Lola aren't worth saving, but it has been our privilege to make her last couple of years her very best. We have more supporters needing to pause their subscriptions than ever. Of course we understand, times are so hard. Today is finally the day I, having gone through the period as a trainee, officially become an artist as Yeonjun from TXT~ 🦊 It’s such a happy and meaningful day for me, I’ve been waiting for this moment for a really long time I started training and dancing when I was in my third year of middle school and since then I’ve been growing my dream of becoming a singer. Some Big Numbers To Get Excited About Regular readers will know I often write of frustration at not moving fast enough. This mission I am on is really hard and sometimes it can seem impossibly big when I am down in the weeds dealing with dog issues on a daily basis. I have to say though that writing this tonight and looking through some numbers I feel for the first time that I am starting to make some large scale progress… A Second Island 🌴🥥 I live and help the dogs on the island of Koh Samui. There is an island of equal size called Koh Phangan just across the water. You probably have heard of it as the home of the world famous Full Moon Party. They have a similar problem with street dogs. Since the the 1st May I have starting funding a wonderful foundation called PACS to sterilise dogs there. They are starting with 50 this month. This is going to stop 1000s of future puppies. A big step. 90,000 Meals Served in 2023 So Far 🥘👨‍🍳 The cooking never stops. The dogs are all starting to benefit from a consistent and healthy meal per day. All the food is prepared in a central kitchen and handed out to volunteers to feed their dogs. With 5000 meals served per week around the island it blows my mind that soon we will serve the 100,000th wholesome plate of food in 2023. It wasn’t that long ago I was driving around on my moped with a 10kg bag of dry food feeding a paltry 20 dogs per day on my own. 7 Puppies Re-Homed 🐶🏠 In the last couple of weeks there have been 25-30 puppies show up. It can be incredibly tough to find them homes but thanks to a great Thai lady I have been able to get 7 into their forever homes around the country. It has involved a lot of vet visits, 1000kms of travel and lots of expense but that is 7 dogs who have a future now who wouldn’t have made it otherwise. 2 Miracles For Lady 🙏😊 The first miracle for Lady was the fact that she got off the street and was able to start walking a little again despite her two broken hips. We’ve been getting her a lot of treatment and she is thriving. Her 2nd miracle was when a lovely newly retired gentleman called Jamie spotted her and offered Lady a forever home to live out her life right here on the island. Nobody usually wants old and sick dogs so this incredibly selfless act is the huge slice of luck that Lady deserved after all the suffering she has endured. The Best Day Of Tina’s Life 🐕🥰 Tina was used for breeding puppies. We all saw the horrendous state she was in when she was rescued. Last week she was well enough to be sterilised so as she never has to have another puppy in her life again. It might seem like a small footnote in the bigger scheme of things but it was a moment of closure for this wonderful lady who has suffered so much. She can now just focus on being a dog for for the first time in her life and sharing all the love she has to give. Tina was the 521st dog I have sterilised since starting. King Whacker Of Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿✈️ Whacker is a very special dog who was one of the first arrivals back in November. Someone had tried to kill him with a pick axe. After recovering he turned into a true gent and is the big boss at the land. I promised he would never have to go back on the streets and this week after a process to find him the right home he got the news that he will be heading to Glasgow. Long live Whacker, the King of Scotland. 125 Dogs To Be Sterilised In May ✂️🐕 I spoke about how abstract sterilising can be for many people to understand but it is what will save the most dogs from suffering. In all of 2022 I was able to do 302 dogs. In the month of May alone I have a minimum target to fund 125. In June I hope to take that to 250 dogs for the month. Not easy and very expensive but I’m putting the groundwork in place to scale this up. Nothing is more important. Little Rodney was in getting the snip last week as one of the dogs this month. 7 European Dogs 🇪🇺🛫 By the end of June there will be 7 dogs who have traveled to Europe. Lottie, Hope, King Whacker, Rodney and Moritz will join Little Squeak and Peaches who just arrived in Germany. I can’t explain how hard it is to figure all this stuff out and get the processes in place. I’m focusing on Europe now as it is the easiest for travel and paperwork but the rest of the world will happen soon too. It’s only 7 dogs but seeing them in their homes or about to travel makes me so happy and proud for them all. Progress The suffering I see on a daily basis for street dogs means that I am never really happy with the speed and progress of my mission. I just want to help them all immediately but that isn’t possible. Having said that, reading this update and knowing what else is coming in the pipeline makes me feel that I am making genuine progress. Between food, funding sterilisations, medical care and re-homing dogs I can genuinely now say I’m helping 100s of dogs per month but also stopping the suffering of 1000s in the future. As I always say I could never do any of this without the online support and good wishes of everybody on the mission with me. I don’t feel like I am alone doing this. My role is to make sure I don’t waste all the support and ensure I think of ways to move faster and execute accordingly. A lot done, a lore more to do.
