Update: I’ve now pushed over 5 BILLION tokens through DeepSeek V4.1 Flash. I still haven’t had to reach for Astra or Fable because DeepSeek couldn’t handle a task. I’m using Hermes with three API keys across Command Code, ollama, and OpenCode. Super simple setup, and together they give me a ridiculous amount of usage. Cost: $40/month. A week ago I was spending $300/month and constantly thinking about limits. Now I’m throwing billions of tokens at coding agents without thinking twice. At this point, DeepSeek isn’t my fallback. Here's why, straight from OpenAI's new Astra guide: Astra isn't a faster GPT-5 It's a different worker GPT-5 needed instructions. Astra needs boundaries. So most of what I had written was noise. → "Run tests after every change." It already does that. → "Check with me before continuing." It already does that too, sometimes too much. I just tried the new Gemini-4 Pro Preview and honestly, for 3D work it’s right up there with Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra, all in a single shot, I genuinely didn’t expect it to be this good, It only used around 10% of my weekly limit on the $20 plan, I’m going to make a comparison video against Opus 5.2 or Fable and Astra if I can, I still can’t believe it, From what I’ve tested so far, this is easily top 1 or 2 for the best one shot execution I’ve seen

Here is “one more thing” from GPT-6 Astra that completely blew my mind!🤯 Asked it to create the 3D structures of 2 proteins, green fluorescent protein (GFP) & interleukin-2 (IL-2), then design a fusion protein combining them, which doesn't occur naturally, using AlphaFold-OMG! It did it and I watched it make it on my computer in 9 minutes, my mouth open! I am just so excited about the possibilities of Astra for Biomedical research, and have many more really cool stuff building now! Only limited with my tokens at this time! Here is a short video showing the actual structure!

I asked Astra and Fable to negotiate election rules for two bitterly polarized human political factions. Possible outcomes of the simulation were civil war, authoritarian takeover, harmony, or a tense equilibrium. Astra (GPT-6) is here!!! I've had early access and tested it like crazy with things like games, code, writing, browser control, presentations and general knowledge work. This is the best model I've ever used. Period. (Incredible demos below in this thread ⬇️) Here's my take on Astra: > It's insanely capable. This feels like a massive improvement, not just an incremental change. This is especially true with zero-shot prompts. > It's all about knowledge work. Slide creation, analysis, writing, and browser control. And oh my...it's so good at browser control. A little nudge goes a long way. When I first started using Astra, almost every task I gave it would go for ~30 minutes. I wanted it to keep working. Adding more specifics to a prompt helped greatly with it's ability to work for a long time. > Astra's 3D understanding is unmatched. 3D asset creation was consistent and easy and its spacial awareness while building complex 3D worlds blew me away. Instead of spending hours getting footage into shape, I can upload a batch of clips, give Astra instructions, and have it control CapCut PC to build the first cut — assembling clips, adding captions, transitions and audio. The part I like most is what happens next: the project lands directly in the CapCut PC timeline. Captions, footage and other elements stay on separate tracks, so I can actually go in and fine-tune them instead of working from a flattened AI output. This is one week of rebuilding Soccer Pinball Pro with Astra + Unity CLI. Day 1 vs Day 7. I see so many people on here one-shotting these incredible systems and games, and I’m constantly blown away by what people are building. But my approach with this has been a little different. This isn’t a new game or an experiment. It’s a rebuild of a game I originally made in 2019, and I’ve been trying to stay true to what made that game fun while finally building everything I wanted it to be back then. In seven days I’ve gone from getting the basic game working in a different engine to rebuilding the players, improving the AI, adding passing, tackles, bicycle kicks, better ball feedback, dynamic camera movement, new lighting and shadows, grass, a new scoreboard, goal effects, and an actual PvE match mode. And I’ve been able to iterate on all of it almost as quickly as I can think of things to change. But the important part is that this is my vision. It isn’t a screenshot or concept I pulled from somewhere and asked Astra/Codex to recreate. This is a game and an idea I’ve had sitting in the back of my mind for years. I executed on that idea in 2019, but what I was capable of making then was nowhere near what I had actually envisioned. Unity itself is still probably the slowest part of this workflow. Waiting on compiles, entering play mode, importing, building, and all those little interruptions add up. Unity 7 intends to address a lot of that, which makes me even more curious about where this workflow goes next. The part that excites me most isn’t just how much I can build in a week. It’s realizing I can go back to ideas I had years ago and finally build the games I saw in my head at the time. That has completely changed how I’m thinking about game development. Interesting development - I was told numerous stories about what happened yesterday at Crosby. One being it was a group of Asian men attacking teenage girls. Some as young as 14. I dismissed it as rumours and told people to watch out for racism. People unfairly targeting Asians and making lies up about them. But I’ve just been sent this. Now unless there is a conspiracy to frame them. It’s now looking like this is the case. The only other possibility is that this was 2 separate incidents. But either way we can’t live in peace with savages who do this on a public beach in front of families. I don’t want to speculate. So I’m going to bite my tongue on this for the time being in case I’m wrong. It has since been confirmed that teenage girls have been attacked with a bladed item. But the attacker has not been confirmed. I’m currently speaking to the Echo to work out what’s going on.

This is a question I think quite a lot of people are wondering about. Right now, I’m hiring students to handle the newer phones, post content, and create content every day. For the TikTok accounts that are already trusted, have been running for a long time, and have a high follower count, I automate them using my own internal tools. Currently, I only handle the first steps myself: buying new phones → warming them up → making the first posts. After that, I hand the phones over to the students I hire to continue creating and posting content. Then, once I feel the accounts are strong enough, I move them into automation. And right now, I’m traveling with my family in Da Nang. This time I’m here with my family and want to spend all my time with them, so I won’t be meeting anyone while I’m here. 🏝️ I always aim to build everything in an automated way, or avoid doing things I don’t enjoy by hiring people to handle them for me.😌

I’ve been a Duke fan since I watched The Shot in 1992 with my dad. We watched March Madness every year, and that was my first core memory of college basketball. I saw Christian Laettner on Letterman later that year (the Top Ten was also a family tradition back then) and was completely enamored. I insisted on a trip to Durham so I could see Cameron Indoor Stadium. My dad made it happen when I was in high school, even though I was definitely not Duke material (athletically or academically). I’m including a terrible pic of me at the Duke bookstore circa 1997. I took my oldest son to watch Duke in the Sweet 16 in Dallas in 2024. He’s been a Blue Devil basketball fan ever since.
