I didn’t expect Grok’s video model to improve this much. Today, when I was generating a video with Seedance 2.0, I found the results weren’t very good. So I tried using the exact same source material and prompt in Grok instead. To my surprise, Grok actually produced better results than Seedance 2.0. I’ve put the prompt and source material in the comments, so if you’re interested, you can give it a try too. I didn’t have enough time to fully test Seedance 2.0 with cartoon styles, but I made an attempt here using an image generated in Midjourney, and the result is promising, though somewhat incomplete. I need to explore it more deeply, but I’m sure it’s possible to achieve some great animations with it.

FSD just gained a new lifetime user. I saw this posted on reddit and thought I would share it here. ---- I am not a regular subscriber, but I was getting over COVID. With the foggy brain I subscribed to FSD just for the month to help me get around while recovering. I am fully recovered but get to enjoy the rest of the month of FSD. Car updated from 13.2.9 yesterday to 14.2. Today on my way home this happened! I couldn't figure out why it was slamming on the brakes until a mere second before the deer jumped out. I am so thankful. It doesn't replace human intervention but all the extra 'eyes' help. I'm still in shock and so happy I didn't destroy the deer and the car. source:

While building SEV0, I ran into moments where natural language prompting just wasn't enough - too vague, too indirect. So I started using a method that bridges that gap. I call it Bridged Prompting - a technique where you temporarily step out of the prompt-response loop to manipulate something directly using an AI-generated UI, then step back in. Think of it like GenUI, but more user-driven and transient. AI generates a UI on-the-fly, tailored to your prompt, and lets you manipulate the artifact directly before resuming the conversation. Sure, you could build a full tool, switch tabs, wire it up and round-trip your data. But with Bridged Prompting, the AI just spins up a temporary interface right in the flow. In the video below, I used it to construct the hallway system to closely match the layout of the severed floor. This is something I needed to do for this one project, this one time - I didn't need to make a whole separate app. Bridged Prompting lets you: - Make precise edits visually or structurally - "Hit save" to persist changes to local storage or a backend - Return to your natural language prompt

I didn’t realize how much my job was affecting me. I made good money but it wasn’t in alignment with what I wanted for my life. So I was stressed, tired and “always on”. 4 week ago I quit to put all my energy into consulting and creating. Today we got caught in a typical Miami afternoon monsoon. Two months ago I would have been racing to the car to be on slack or zoom. Today we stopped and danced. And enjoyed life a bit more.

Yo! That new animation looks promising, I really hope you will like it. I learned a lot of new animation tools for this teaser, and it was a lot of fun to make. Also tried using Koikatsu to create the hair, and I'm really happy with how it looks now.

#JANHAE #JANIVERSE 🦊: the thing i regret the most in life would probably be i chose to believe my friends more than myself, because i wasn’t confident in my own thoughts. but if you ask, the path my friends chose for me was a good path and the one i should take, but the outcome of that decision wasn’t what i wanted. if i was going to do something, it’d be better that i made the decision myself. at least if i ended up regretting it, it would still have come from the fact that i trusted myself

Trump President Trump’s event in Chippewa Falls, and honestly, it’s hard to put into words what this moment feels like. As I waited in line, I kept thinking about how much has changed over the past year. I was just a girl in New Richmond who believed girls deserved privacy in their bathrooms, fairness in their sports, and the protections Title IX was meant to guarantee.
