I've been working on a little side project - "pixi-pdf"! It allows you to embed your entire pixi project into a regular, readable PDF file. Imagine uploading an _executable_ PDF to arXiv.org - would that be exciting for scientists? cc SciPyConf 👩‍🔬🧪

@wuoulf @arxiv @SciPyConf executable PDFs, as a first approximation, are blocked from @arXiv it'd take some serious guarantees for us to accept them

@wuoulf @arxiv @SciPyConf Omg a long time ago I wanted a new file type that was readable as a pdf but openable in other programs to make “reactive” papers. This seems like what I dreamed of!!!

@wuoulf @arxiv @SciPyConf Love it! You could even do user space docker I suspect if u wanted to through this tho for most cases that would be overkill. Thinking though for a lot of these app's initialization might be better through cookie cutter so you have the requisite tasks and common platforms.
