It wasn't perfect at first; I had to smooth it out to make it easier to use before its release. But Claude got me started where I may not have otherwise. It's easy to get caught up in #GenAI hype, but LLMs have completely changed the idea-to-implementation timeline for me.

o1-pro is probably the best model i've used for coding, hands down i gave it a pretty complicated codebase and asked it to refactor while referencing docs the difference between claude/gemini/o1 and o1 pro is night and day. first time in a while i've been this impressed. full comparison in the video + code.

I've been working with caustics for a while in #webGPU and one of the issues I find is that it's hard to handle caustics for complex scenes. It's easy for planes, you can save photons in a texture using either compute and atomics, or additive blending with the rasteriser. 🧵

I especially love the "Imagine with Claude" feature that lets you create fun apps on the fly. For example, I asked it to "Show me the desktop of a bad PM (left) and a great PM (right)." Here's a video of what it came up with 😀
