I’ve got a WAY BETTER idea for Abs: - Locate this machine - Get on it - Select a weight that will be very challenging in the 5-10 rep range - Do a set to failure or close - Take 3 mins rest - Repeat - Take 3 mins... show more

Ok, we get it. Now stop posting about it because everyone is starting to use the machine and we only have one of them at my gym 😭

🤌

I can confirm, I've been exercising for 5-6 years in my life and I never had abs neither I cared about having them, 2 months ago I started using this machine with a few other abs exercises 3x a week and I've never seen my stomach looking so good like this before!

Never seem to find the right position? What’s the ideal position? Also what about obliques?

Depends on build of machine and your skeletal structure Hard to say for certain Usually top of shoulder is at top of back pad tho For obliques: An exercise that challenges lateral flexion And an exercise that challenges trunk rotation

thanks man, your stuff has helped me narrow down the exercises to do!

🤝💪🏻

yup, the twisty one too

I'll try this one as part of my routine, just like this.

Isn’t one targeting the upper abs significantly more and the other is targeting lower abs significantly more? Both are great, just depends what your focus is from my experience.

Just did this machine today 💪🏼 It’s perfect for core - contracting both the abs and the hip flexors.

The plate loaded on is excellent

I love when people over complicate abs and calves training.

You legit need 1 exercise for each

100%, problem with most people is they just flat out don’t train them hard at all.

Many such cases

Use it 2X this week already 😁. Still have 4 more days left in the week. Let’s go

Absolute core destroyer this thing. I also do decline sit ups/crunches on the bench as well. Not sure any other ab workout is needed with these two in your programming.

You get it 🤝

Exactly what I do, along with other abs exercises. Heck yes.

Thank you 🙏🏾

Yesmam

I started using this machine about a month ago. I never took it seriously. It works. I highly recommend.

Top tier ab machine 💪🏾🔥🔥

You know ball 🤝

& so many ppl use it wrong 💀

lol I got locked up on the floor for 10 minutes, then killed a bear with my hands

I used that yesterday. Still hurting.

What am I doing wrong if I feel like my back feels weird while doing it? Drop the weight down?

Potentially The focus should be on flexing and extending your spine with arms and legs fixed in place

Will give that a shot tonight! Thank you

🤝💪🏻

Alright...I'll start using it. I see it everyday at the gym.

I do this 4x a week. Can confirm it works. The moral is: Don't be a dummy doing infinite bicycle crunches and wondering why you don't have visible abs.

Difference between the two : he’s building “empty” muscle, the look and feel of abs She’s building a proper core, functionality and flexibility. Her method is better, takes longer time but ultimately stronger core than him

EMPTY MUSCLE @CoachFHM

@prospersadness Now that’s a new one 😆

@prospersadness My mentions are a mess today, bro Check the leg press vid

@CoachFHM @prospersadness Idk why everybody thinks you should train abs different than any other muscle. Progressive overload them like anything else. Pissed my gym doesn’t have one of these it’s my favorite

@CoachFHM @prospersadness

I wish I had the genes to have good abs ah well I’ll keep at it. I typically do 20 reps. For 3 to 5 sets

the ab machine changed my life (gave me abs)

You get it 🤝

Both are correct. Hers works more overall core rather than straight up abdominal muscles. But both do a great job for the midsection.

@0x3Jay 🤣🤣🤣

I try this but always get bad spasms in my abs and have to flex back to remove the spasm

My gym doesn't have one of these. Where do you finds all of these glorious toys?

Even both the LA fitness locations I go to has this

Not the gym I go to, sadly. I want this and that bench press machine you showed a while back.

Meh. The incline bench reverse crunch thing is brutal, good, and can be done at any gym. Not sure why she’s leaving her bum on the bench though, she should get that whole lower body in the air, straighten legs and lower down slowly.

They added one of these to my gym. Basically lock the arms out on the bar and drive pmforward using abs. Incredible bit of kit, never seen it before ! Have you?

Yeah I’m not a fan personally Much prefer the traditional hands by ears

This good?

I’m not a fan of those at all

What’s closest exercise to this for those of us that don’t have access to the machine?

Cable crunches or decline crunches

Women should avoid this exercise though

Is this machine better for upper or lower abs?

How is he 3 times my size but ab crunches 1/3 of my work weight? I don't get it.
