Yeah this is the perspective/humility that is brutally absent imo.

@CAPTAINPEARLNYK I really do agree with just about everything said here, I am not at all naive enough to think I or the Knicks fanbase knows more about basketball than Thibs, hilarious notion actually. I think it’s the unwillingness to just try different things where a lot of us get frustrated.

His sin was not trying things and only focusing on the next game. It’s not about Xs and Os.

A good example of this is McBride with the starters. Sure, we wanna see that. But unless you're starting McBride, if you do that, that reduces the ability to stagger KAT and JB. KAT came out for the backup big as McBride checked in so he could come back in when JB sat.

@krispursiainen no-one denies that Thibs has knowledge and ability far beyond the average spectator. Those things do not make him infallible either. sometimes smart people are flat out wrong. the problem is when they double down in instances where they are wrong. thats what he got him fired.
