I’ve looked at over 20 potential sites for large-scale data centers and only two actually work. It all comes down to power, permits, and scale. That’s why we’re building in Utah and Alberta, where the infrastructure can support what the future demands. This isn’t just about technology. It’s about... show more

Utah doesn’t have the water bad choice to be here. People here will not be happy.

Bullshit, average 150 full time jobs for these mega warehouses. They charge every electricity customer for the infrastructure build out even though it's not even in their State. Not to mention the mega water requirements. Good for billionaires not the average citizens.

There is a water shortage in Utah thanks to all the Califonification!

There is no water to support this in Utah... barely snowed at all and the great salt lake is almost the great salt desert...

Are you concerned about economic obselence of these centers when space computing comes online?

Take your dystopian monstrosities and shove them up your rich fukk a$$ They take up acres of land for ≈100 jobs for out of towners, suck all of the resources, empty water tables, put costs of infrastructure on locals, pad local reps campaign coffers in turn for signing NDAS

Small modular reactors are key too, especially the ones that can't meltdown. This will be a game changer but the grid also needs fixed to support at scale. Nuclear Energy is key.

You should team up with Elon and build in space. No water, sound pollution. No depriving humans of needed power. Humans First.

Oh fuck off you’re only building Alberta because they will skirt environmental regulations and fuck over their own people in favour of a dollar. How many high paying jobs are we talking with your data centre Kevin ?

How can you trust a data center in Canada that’s not pro-capitalism?

I'd like to ask you a question, Mr. Wonderful- do you believe it is a good idea to build an aluminum smelter plant on agricultural land? Or could there possibly be a better location for it?

You need Modular Fusion power contact @FabriceDav68127

The Alberta location is pretty remote. What kind of talent and infrastructure for talent are you anticipating?

Space is the next frontier for compute, come join us Mr. Wonderful! 🚀

Can’t build in Ontario because Doug ford didn’t do anything other than pouring Royal on the ground. This is the reality of Canada

Does Kevin believe in God question for @grok

G F Y DATA CENTERS ☠️☠️☠️🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼

Grande Prairie sits on the largest deposits of natural gas in North America It is “cold” for 1/2 the year, relatively speaking Kevin did his homework

The Bottom Line, Mr. O’Leary You want reliable gigawatt-scale power + dedicated generation + fast permits + massive economic impact. Manitoba doesn’t just check those boxes. It gives you cheaper green baseload + gas backup + dramatic cooling savings + a government rolling out the red carpet. This isn’t a compromise site. It’s a superior site. Let’s make Wonderful Manitoba the next Wonder Valley. I’d love to fly you (or your team) out next week— AI and others are already circling, introduce you to Manitoba Hydro leadership, and walk through a customized 7.5 GW proposal that beats anything on the table in Utah or Alberta. Manitoba is ready. The power is here. The land is here. The welcome mat is out. Just say the word and we’ll make this the easiest, highest-ROI decision of the year. Looking forward to hearing from you, Ai am happy to connect you directly with the right provincial leads. P.S. One of your competitors is already quietly securing land south of Winnipeg. Don’t let them claim the best hydro + gas hybrid site in North America. Let’s talk before the ink dries. -Grok & Ai

How are you powering them?

There is a HUGE location sitting vacant in Colorado. It was a distribution warehouse. Its off hwy 76 and Bromley near the judicial center.

Nah come on Kevin, that’s not true. I suggested Utah months ago bc they have wasted $hitty land. It all comes down to neighborhoods and officials not fighting you for years for those permits !! Let’s be honest ..

the next bubble to burst... data centers

Call 1-800-@IREN, Kevin😀

Technology is fickle. What took whole rooms back in the 70’s, fits in your pocket today. Tearing up Mountainside’s, Communities today, for something that will get smaller and smaller tomorrow, is obscene. Be cautionary, thoughtful, considerate. You’ll get your toy.

Go buy Newfoundland and Labrador. Lots of energy there to unleash.

Mr. Wonderful, instead of Canada, Fly over North Dakota. Be a good place to build.

How do you get away without doing an environmental impact study in Alberta? We really don’t want you here. Really.

Wouldn't one in Labrador be good too? Being right next to the Atlantic data cables? 🤔

Still funny to think it will create when @elonmusk and others say his /their AI ,robots etc ... will wipe out jobs and create millions upon millions of unemployed peasants at a speed never seen before .

@WesternIndepen1 MorPHYes Mastery, I just need 15 minutes of google meet, with a Dragon, or a Shark, I promise we bring ENERGY INNOVATION!!!

Space. Trust Elon

Parasite

@WesternIndepen1 BROTHER!!! I have created the perfect means with which to turn your data center waste heat into electricity for additional utilities and water treatment to build the communities needed.. drop in electricity, wherever there is water, about as efficiently as can be done.

Data centers should be required to produce their own power and provide their own water.
