“I’ve never seen that before.” Martin Sheen gets emotional watching John Spencer’s final scene on-camera while filming The West Wing.

Thank you for having Martin and Mary. I have long said TWW should be required viewing for every high school student in the country, with extra credit if their families watch with them. The most powerful patriotism, best explanation of how our govt. works. And entertaining.

One of our most favorite shows in our house. “West Wing” will always live on in our hearts as how Democracy should be. Martin Sheen, John Spenser, and the whole cast did such an amazing job. And I always cry seeing Leo pass. RIP John 😭.

Not for nothing, and not to take anything away, but this is nowhere close to his last scene on camera…

Awesome. Hearing West Wing described as a love letter to public service is right on.

The true love story of The West Wing was Jed Bartlet and Leo McGarry. And it’s because of those two actors. You could tell how much they loved and respected each other.

This was great!!!💜

Maybe I can watch West Wing now/again. It’s taken me this long to want more Presidential drama in my life. Jed and Joe were never crazy and I can almost believe in government again. I did love that series

Thanks for this. Just purchased both print and audiobook. Just reading the Sample chapter hooked me. Loved watching this scene. Set the context for Martin Sheen’s treating everyone as family. Wow! Yes, we religiously watched each episode as former congressional district staffers.

If you didn't cry watching this, you have no heart. Thank you, @TheWestWing_TV and all the cast

One of my favorite TV shows of all time
