“I’ve received comments about my weight, and it brings me back to a difficult experience I went through in 2025. It wasn’t easy, but that same year also gave me something I’m truly proud of. It was a year full of ups and downs, lessons, and growth✨💪” –LEXIS STAR

“I went to South Africa in 2016 and gave birth to two children there, but life was never easy for me. My two-year-old child and I were once placed in police custody, and it was a very difficult time for us. I feel much safer now that I’m back home.” — A Ghanaian woman among the 300 Ghanaians repatriated from South Africa to Ghana shares her experience

I quit working out for 8 years and poured all my focus into hacking. I picked it back up in 2024 as a new year goal, i’ve been riddled with injuries, but I’ve stuck through it. Managed to bench 225 for 5, last year it was 155x1 max. Form is terrible, but I’m proud of it

2025 was a very tough year for me and my family. I’m not someone who usually shares very personal things here, but I wanted to be honest because we’re all human, and we all go through hard seasons 🥹🙏🏽🤍 This year I dealt with anxiety in a way I never had before. We lost two family members, and one of them was someone who truly became like a second dad to me. He was such an important part of our family, and his loss deeply changed us. Then, just when I thought my heart couldn’t take more, a few weeks ago I almost lost my dad to a heart attack. Thank God he’s healing and doing better 🙏🏽❤️ but It was unexpected, scary, and life-shaking. It was a year of ups and downs. God opened doors for me in the most incredible ways ✨🙏🏽 but He also walked me through moments that tested me and taught me to slow down and appreciate life in a deeper way. If this year was heavy for you too, I’m with you and I understand you 🙏🏽❤️ love you mi gente!

I’ve just been feeling really grateful lately. Life is not where I want it to be yet. I’m still trying to figure things out. I’m still working, still trying, still hoping things get better. But when I stop and really think about everything I’ve been through, I’m proud of myself. There were so many times I didn’t know how I was going to get through something, but somehow, I did. I’m still here. I’m still dreaming. I’m still building my life. And honestly, that means a lot to me. I’m so grateful for every person who has supported me, checked on me, helped me, donated, shared my story, or simply reminded me that I’m not alone. I never expected some of the love I’ve received, and I’ll always be grateful for it. I don’t have everything figured out. I don’t have everything I want yet. But I believe things will get better. I believe in myself. And I know that one day, I’m going to look back at this version of me and say, “Girl, we really went through it.” 😂 Then I’ll look at my life and say, “But look at you now.” I’m proud of me. I’m grateful to still be here. And I truly believe I’ve got this. 🤍

Shane Battier says returning to Duke for his senior year cost him about $10,000,000 but winning a national championship and becoming more prepared for the NBA made it worth it “I had a good junior year. I was All-American, averaged about 19 [points] and probably could have came out then. Honestly, it was more important to me to be an impact player when I got to the league, and I felt like I wasn’t there yet. I was a power forward in college. I shot threes, but I was a stretch four essentially” “I knew if I went to the league, okay, I’m in the league. It probably cost me about $10 million for that one extra year I could have squeaked out. But at the time, it matters to me that I want to start. I want to be a good pro for a long time.’ So that last year of work was really important” “The leap of faith going through that process, I knew for where I wanted to be, I had to do it. But what I learned, my readiness… it was great that we won, absolutely. But you realize it really is about the journey and taking advantage of the opportunity. I was super proud of that decision”

LeBron on currently being the primary option: “I had to tap back into a role that I’ve been accustomed to in the past. But obviously it wasn’t what it was this year so, circumstances have put me back in it. I’m just trying to feed off my teammates and my teammates feeding off of me. i’m just trying to make things happen for us 16 to stay up afloat.”

Dalton Risner with stand up comments Monday on his last play. “You guys saw me last year too through the ups and downs, and this was a bad play that I’ll remember for a long time, and I'm not going to make excuses about it. I'm not going to try to make it sound better. I gave up a sack, and resulted in being a fumble, and resulted in the game being over. So that sucks. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but I'm going to swallow it. Be a man about it. Go back to the drawing board. Continue to work. And good news is we're two and one with a lot of opportunity in front of us.”

Ongezaaaa Volumeee because it’s my Happy birthday!! Celebrating 36 years of life today. After almost dying twice this year,I have seen the importance of making it through 365 days and I’m filled with nothing but GRATITUDE 😊 In each cycle I have learnt so much but in ALL things I can NOW confidently say God only has plans to prosper me and never to fail me! Happy birthday to ME 🎂 Reflecting on some of my milestones, accomplishments, ups, downs, highs, lows and failures today 🥹 God is so good through ALL OF it! Missing my Dad and Uncle David a lot more this year too but really just working to keep making them proud!

WEEKLY WEIGH-IN 4/3/26 I haven’t lost any weight this year… But I know I’ve lost fat. I also know that I’d be a lot lower on the scale if I hadn’t stopped fasting. I’m sorry for letting my insecurities stop me from sharing last week’s weigh-in. We’re a quarter of the way through this year… and obviously it was a lot more of a struggle for me than I was anticipating; but I am not gonna stop trying, and I know that moving and continuing to build new routines is gonna go a long way towards moving forward with the weight loss this year. #weightlossjourney #weightloss #motivation #fitness #fatloss
