(LANGUAGE WARNING) This is a harsh truth all of us parents need to consider, Kids need their parents to parent. Concerned about your kids on social media? Dont let them on social media. Concerned your kids eat too much junk food? Dont let them eat junk food. Concerned your kids are always on screens? Dont let them have access to screens. When they are old enough, its important to communicate WHY these things are limited or not allowed. But in the meantime they need their parents to create boundaries Kids are vulnerable to unhealthy habits. They need healthy boundaries (and parents to enforce them) while they are figuring life out.

This baseball tournament turned into chaos. This tournament is for the kids!Look at the parents. Here we have a sexualised man speaking to a ‘classroom child’ about sex. - They are all for not medicalising the ‘sacred’ intersex body, yet can’t wait to sterilise kids who think their body is wrong. Why is there a push to close Chicago Public Schools on May 1? According to the Illinois State Board of Education, only 1 in 3 CPS elementary students are proficient in reading and only 1 in 5 are proficient in math. Our kids need more time in the classroom, not less, yet Chicago parents are being asked for their kids to lose another day of school on May 1st for a political Day of Action. Parents and kids rely on schools for learning and consistency. Closing schools will send parents scrambling for babysitters or losing wages to stay home to care for their kids. For some kids, schools are where they get their meals and are the safest place they’ll be that day. As a CPS mom, I have skin in the game and expect my son to be in school where he belongs on May 1st. Keep Chicago’s students in the classroom, parents at work, and focus on the city’s test scores, not its politics. #chicago

Nothing else matters unless our kids are safe. So we acted immediately. What happened at Darwin School should never happen. This child did everything right. Her parents did everything right too. Students - you are safe at school. Parents - your kids are safe to be sent to school. Educators - we’ve got your backs and will protect you too. We released new dollars today so every school division can review their safety plans and do what needs to be done in light of the recent incident. We will keep working with communities, staff, and law enforcement to ensure kids are safe in Manitoba as well as every single school in our province.

Instead of potty training, teaching them to ride bikes, or letting them brush their teeth by themselves, too many parents are doing these tasks for their kids, failing to help them thrive. The consequence, she says, is a generation of incapable kids: kids who don’t develop critical thinking, dexterity, or athleticism because they were never challenged.
