Full-speed Practice #3 in the books for the 49ers. Highlights... 🏈Great battle between Renardo Green and Mike Evans on a nice deep pass from Brock Purdy. Green won with the PBU. Green: "A dawg recognizes a dawg. So we're going to go at it and sharpen each others' swords." 🏈Renardo Green spoke at length about how much Kyle Shanahan's belief in him has elevated his confidence. Seems that some totally misread the brief Seattle "benching" 🏈Another CB highlight: Jack Jones INT'd Mac Jones on rollout jump ball to Jacob Cowing. Jones has been a spark plug this camp 🏈It was the De'Zhaun Stribling and Demarcus Robinson show at WR today. Stribling is eminently impressive physically — just really hard to cover with his traits. Robinson is a reliable vet whose roster stock only increases with Ricky Pearsall still dealing with last season's PCL injury 🏈Darrell Luter Jr. (final year of rookie deal) did have a nice PBU vs Robinson 🏈Punt returners... -Jacob Cowing -Jordan Watkins -Junior Bergen -Will Pauling -Wesley Grimes Cowing had a couple catches today and a first down on a reverse but has not been overly productive on offense. He's the 49ers' shortest WR. His ticket to the 53 might be through that PR position 🏈Jaden Dugger, the rookie LB with the 7-foot wingspan, is a LONG strider. Nice range on a throw to the flat today 🏈Mac Jones is constantly funny. Hit Patrick Taylor Jr. on a swing pass vs what might've been busted coverage and acted like the TD won the Super Bowl with his arms outstretched 🏈Shanahan was again on the field for a bit. Former safety Raheem Morris joined him and John Lynch watching from that centerfield spot 🏈Brock Purdy and his wife, Jenna, announced that their second child is on the way this morning. Congratulations!

49ers - Chargers in the books. What a treat that practice was. Harbaugh, Shanahan, Purdy, Herbert and so much more... Highlights and *context*: 🏈49ers defense obviously needs Nick Bosa, but thankfully do they have Osa. SF struggled to set edges early; that led to some big Keaton Mitchell runs and play-action success for Herbert and Co. — including wide-open David Njoku TD and a Quentin Johnson TD vs Deommodore Lenoir 🏈That said, some of the deep-ball highlight clips (like Herbert to Brenen Thompson over Ji'Ayir Brown) floating online would've been Odighizuwa sacks. He lived in LA's backfield — but couldn't touch Herbert since it was practice 🏈Kaelon Black is back and has **impressive** burst. Immediately noticed the difference between him and 49ers' backup RBs of recent practices. Black also looks stronger than 208 pounds — that's a lot of muscle moving at a high rate of speed 🏈In red zone, 49ers QB Adrian Martinez hit Black on an angle route for a TD 🏈De'Zhaun Stribling made a sweet TD grab on a jump-ball fade from Mac Jones in RZ, although the 49ers saw relatively limited success there. They still have all the makings of a very good RZ team. "Hell yeah, Stribbles!" yelled a 49ers' O-linemen 🏈Jones threw an INT to LA CB Eric Rogers earlier. Pass was intended for 49ers WR Jordan Watkins, who was outmuscled by the 6-2 Rogers. Watkins later couldn't hold onto a desperation RZ heave from Purdy in the end zone that certainly gave him a chance 🏈In general, Jones has not been overly accurate this camp, but there were also misfires last year at this time. The guy proved himself as a gamer last season and the 49ers aren't worried 🏈Treated to a few Trent Williams vs Khalil Mack reps. Walking Hall of Famers 🏈Sweet run stuff from 49ers LB Garret Wallow, whom Fred Warner praised heavily, against LA RB Jarret Patterson 🏈49ers offense started hot but finished worse once practice graduated to move-the-ball sessions. Opposite was generally true on the other side, where the 49ers defense started better asserting itself later — included a Fred Warner punch out of Njoku 🏈Chargers DE Andre Carter II, who worked out for the 49ers a couple weeks ago, ripped past SF rookie LT Enrique Cruz Jr. on a RZ rep. Williams helped coached Cruz up a few minutes later 🏈Rookie 49ers DT James Thompson Jr. had an awesome swim move vs LA LG Jake Slaughter. The 6-6 Thompson's stock seems to rise on a daily basis. Fellow rookie DT Bryson Eason, a much wider/stouter frame, also held his ground well vs the run 🏈Early on was a trial-by-fire day for 49ers rookie CB Ephesians Prysock, who was beaten a couple times downfield by Brenen Thompson 🏈No music at practice today so hilarious to listen to Mike Evans lobbying the officials like a truly seasoned HOF-bound vet. Evans left practice early with a wrap around his quad but Shanahan said it was just precautionary 🏈Mike Shanahan in attendance for this practice 🏈Did Jim Harbaugh ever get to meet Brock Purdy? Let's end on that cliffhanger...

Fight AND practice highlights of that 49ers-Titans joint session.... 🏈 Brock Purdy was dominant facing a familiar Robert Saleh defense. 13 has been locked in all camp. Especially good in the red zone, where he found Deebo for multiple TDs and again connected with Luke Farrell (growing theme) 🏈Bullying vibe, especially early, from the 49ers defense. Tennessee took exception, hence the fights. A first-play Upton Stout shove and a second-play Dre Greenlaw/Fred Warner TFL on a pitch right set a very physical tone. Then, after Renardo Green leveled Carnell Tate, matters exploded 🏈Two Titans' O-linemen eventually ejected. Skirmish activity extended into back half of practice after 49ers DT Osa Odighizuwa sacked Cam Ward and grabbed his shoulder pad. Tennessee didn't like that 🏈Titans seemed to have some rushing success vs 49ers, though it's very hard to gauge without watching the tape. Ward's accuracy was very inconsistent. Lowlight for him was Ji'Ayir Brown's pick 6, which followed the Osa vs. Dan Moore Jr. Round II 🏈Big picture on 49ers offense: They'll need to be a top-5 unit this year, and Purdy has given every indication that he can guide that type of success from his QB spot. Layered passes, scrambles, elite RZ production... all there 🏈49ers vet DB Nate Hobbs was very active and physical for the 49ers today... seemed to be at the center of much of the action 🏈49ers safety Marques Sigle notched a couple PBUs 🏈Second-year corner Jakob Robinson logged a leaping INT against Titans QB Will Levis. It was intended for WR Mason Kinsev, who seemed to be doing a lot of today's jawing — including one session vs 49ers rookie safety Jalen Stroman 🏈I found Levis throwing a pick with Levi's Stadium in the background was funny 🏈One good red-zone rep for the 49ers involved rookie LBs Jaden Dugger and Larry Worth — nearly 14 feet of combined wingspan between them — flush Levis out of the pocket and force an incompletion. Was an imposing sight; Worth was FIRED UP 🏈Romello Height had some good, explosive work against Moore — a starting LT — that disrupted Ward. A lot of emotion in this one; Height was fired up on the sideline. Offsides flags still a concern 🏈Warner is a strategic instigator — talked quite a bit in Ward's direction in between series🍿. Also a good face-to-face confrontation with the much shorter RB Tyjae Spears 🏈Raheem Morris blitzed Warner numerous times today. The most I can remember Warner being asked to go straight after the QB. Another data point in evaluating this evolving 49ers' defense 🏈Former Stanford WR Elic Ayomanor had some good battles vs 49ers CBs Renardo Green (great coverage on a deep ball) and Jack Jones. Ayomanor beat Jones on a double move but Jones recovered for a last-second PBU 🏈Next up: Preseason opener vs these same Titans. Robert Saleh said Tennessee will play everyone and Kyle Shanahan said the 49ers will sit most starters. All in all, coaches happy with the productive work today. Good eval opportunity for the 49ers coming up in an actual game environment...

Most competitive 49ers' training camp practice so far ended Block 3 — fittingly, it coincided with Kyle Shanahan's return to the podium. Some highlights: 🏈Upton Stout will be a HUGE part of this defense. Pick 6 on a Brock Purdy-to-Demarcus Robinson try today. Raheem Morris said Stout is SF's starting "Star" — that was Jalen Ramsey's versatile position in LA's defense 🏈OL/DL 1-on-1s didn't go well for Connor Colby, who lost multiple reps (rookie James Thompson got him twice). Robert Jones continued as top LG. Brett Toth (concussion) watched from sideline 🏈Romello Height had a fun multi-rep battle with Colton McKivitz. Slipped lost Round 1, then jumped offsides twice, then ripped out a wicked inside spin move — speedy potential on full display. Height says he picks Trent Williams' brain after practice (smart move, per sources) 🏈De'Zhaun Stribling was back in team drills. Purdy's first pass: Crisp out-breaker to the rookie, who continues to look polished and explosive. Stribling did log a catch vs Stout on another out later on 🏈Biggest offensive play came when 49ers spread defense out with Stribling and Co. to set up Purdy-to-McCaffrey on a 25-yard post 🏈The logjam of young DTs — Sebastian Valdez, Bryson Eason, and James Thompson — will be interesting to sort out. All are flashing. Alfred Collins had a big pass bat-down today, one of his specialties 🏈Jordan Watkins has had some struggles over the middle and today he dropped an intermediate crosser in traffic from Adrian Martinez 🏈Nice adjustment from Junior Bergen on a similar route but with Kurtis Rourke at QB. Throw was a touch late and behind Bergen but the gritty young WR made it work. His good camp continues 🏈Best practice so far for vet CB Nate Hobbs, who notched 3 pass breakups, including one vs Bergen. Hobbs has been most effective inside during his career but he also knocked two boundary passes away today 🏈Soaring TD catch in end-of-game red-zone work from 6-2 rookie WR Wesley Grimes on a throw from Mac Jones 🏈Purdy found Luke Farrell for a last-second TD during his first turn of this hurry-up work. Farrell's pass-game usage has gone way up this camp; looks like a trusted target for 13 now 🏈Deommodore Lenoir INT of Purdy came on the first team's second red-zone try. Fourth down as time expired, so Purdy had to force a throw since no one was open and the "game" was on the line. Lenoir undercut Robinson 🏈Big run stop from rookie DT Gracen Halton, who's one of the most vocal players on the field. When Halton makes a play, you typically hear it from the sideline 🏈Fred Warner notched a lunging PBU, showcasing that rare 6-4 LB height, and also scooped up a possible early fumble for a return TD 🏈49ers will be off Sunday before returning for their fourth 2-practice block on Monday, the second of which will be a joint session with Robert Saleh and the Titans — so the work is ramping up at just the right time

🏈 🔥 WATCH all the way through the end of this video to see spirited high school football players at South County High School exercise their civic duty to speak up for celebrated football coach Gerry Pannoni, who just lost his coaching job in a case of alleged retaliation in Fairfax County Public Schools. What’s more: FCPS allegedly shut down the South County football program and let go ALL of the coaches until a new coach is named and removed access to coach access to Hudl, a video platform, hurting students who are being recruited by colleges. In June 2024, I began reporting a local high school story for the Fairfax County Times Pearl Project with sports reporter G, and it became Virginia’s biggest youth sports scandal: controversial recruiting practices at Hayfield Secondary School in Fairfax County Virginia that led to a wider community reckoning on the issue of integrity in sports and calls for the resignation of fcpssupt Michelle Reid for her mishandling of the case. Today, at South County High School in Lorton, Va., about 300 football players, athletes and students streamed out of Door No. 1 at 2 PM to march on Laurel Crest Drive, shouting, “Reinstate Coach P.” Last year, Pannoni and other coaches raised red flags about alleged recruitment problems at Hayfield, and the school district official told coach Pannoni on Friday that he had lost his job. Parents and coaches say they are hearing that Reid is allegedly planning to retaliate against all the coaches for embarrassing her. FCPS denies the charge. FCPS sent a media relations officer to follow the march. He sat in the back of an FCPS security cruiser. FCPS Superintendent Reid investigated Pannoni for an audio tape with parents, indelicately describing the Hayfield recruiting as akin to “grooming.” We have learned that the principal had allegedly told Pannoni that students didn’t feel “safe”around the coach. The students I interviewed reveal a different story: speaking about Pannoni’s positive impact on their lives. “We love Coach Pannoni,” said many a student. This story speaks to wider issues about transparency, accountability, and integrity in both governance and school districts. Today, high school students spoke out when the issue touched their lives very personally, speaking up with clarity for a coach they respect. At the end, you will hear some students ask me who I am and I softly introduce myself with the Fairfax County Times. One calls us heroes for documenting this story and investigating its details. We are not heroes, but the story speaks to the heroic mission of local journalism in bringing truth to communities, from South County High School to beyond. We couldn’t report it without brave whistleblowers. Read all of our coverage here:

Americans are FINALLY waking up and realizing our elections are rigged 🚨 You need to know this information. ONLY 10 STATES out of 50 states require strict photo ID when voting “I'm not gonna lie, when the Republicans were saying that illegal immigrants are voting and turning the states blue, I did not believe them. And the reason that I didn't believe them was because I was like, well, you have to have a driver's license, and in order to have a driver's license, you have to have a Social Security number — But then I discovered that: - There are 14 states out of 50 that do not require any type of identification at the polls. For those 14 states, there's an exception where they may be required to show ID - Then in quite a few states also, there are government-issued IDs to non-citizens where they can vote for certain municipalities - Then there are 12 states that require documentation but no photo ID required, so it could literally be something like a utility bill. (And that's not counting the 14 I listed earlier) So we're already over 50% of the entire country that does not have proper documentation to vote - Then there there are 14 states that request your photo ID but offer alternative ways to vote, like an affidavit There are only 10 states in America that strictly require photo government ID to vote. The Republicans were not wrong” This is all true and I’m going to give you the exact states for each to prove it to you: No document at the polls: 14 states plus D.C. Those states are California, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Vermont Non-photo ID accepted: 12 states. These are separate from the 14. The list is Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming. Acceptable documents can include a utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, or voter registration card Photo ID requested, with a fallback: 14 states, these non-strict photo-ID states are Alabama, Florida, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, and West Virginia. They ask for a photo ID. If the voter does not have one, the ballot can still count without the voter coming back, usually by affidavit, poll-worker vouching Only 10 states have strict photo ID requirements: Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Mississippi, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee and Wisconsin

El Paso Sector Invasion — Shaping Operations and Destination Assignments You may have seen video of WEF-Governor Greg Abbott who is transparently assigned by WEF to operate Texas sector. Abbott Abbott makes a show of resistance but this is all kayfabe. WEF-Governor Abbott is openly overseeing Texas-sector invasion. You may have seen troops unfurling concertina wire. This again is kayfabe, and a shaping operation. “Shaping” is a military term that includes creating conditions to divert or cause others to react or travel or stay in place…or do something…that you desire. Such as unfurling wire causes cameras to go to that location, and causes aliens to cross where WEF-OGUS wants them to cross. Aliens are crossing in thousands of locations. There is no single video-shot of the massive sea of tuberculosis and scabies swarming in. Those aliens who respond to shaping operations are “processed” and are either released on the streets, or ASSIGNED places to go and given bus or plane tickets to places like Chicago. Aliens tell us this to our cameras. Notice nearly all the media in El Paso go to Gate 42. The attached drone video was from Gate 42 roughly 15 hours ago. OGUS-WEF has press-conferences at Gate 42 twice per day. This press “access” and the press conferences draws significant mainstream camera coverage with which OGUS-WEF diverts their attention to this tiny sector away from serious action spots. Those who have followed my work for years know that I have talked about “Gate 42s” all over the world. The diversion for the cameras. There are numerous “Gate 42s” across the southern border. Beware of Gate 42s. Gate 42s are useful for gathering information but also are danger zones, traps, and diversions. Kayfabe. In clear words, Gate 42 is a stage. A stage like BLM plaza in front of the White House. Created to draw cameras, disseminate propaganda, and provide the CNN-sorts the footage and sound bites they need to work within WEF-OGUS guidelines. Basically, the Gate 42s are like fascist-barbecues. Beware at Gate 42 in El Paso, or anytime you sense you are at a “Gate 42.”. Anything can happen there. Agent Provocateurs, etcetera, must be expected. Gate 42 is where we encountered the possibly-intoxicated Texas national guardsmen last night who rammed two reporters with his truck. I and others made video. Law enforcement were called by phone, responded, and covered up for the Staff Sergeant. Took him to the other side of the wall and hid him from us. We got on video including the law officer who did it, just two feet from me. Perfect audio and video. Kayfabe. The dance. This is a dangerous situation. Anything can happen J6-style. It’s all kayfabe — and potentially deadly. Beware of all “Gate 42s” There is no truth without context. The more context you have, the more you can sense the battlefield. Please share this. Episode 18 of the @TradingPlacesPod featuring James Riney from Coral Capital is out now! This week: Dave McClure and Aman Verjee kick off 2026 with their macroeconomic predictions (GDP growth, Fed rate cuts, and tax refunds), break down the IPO market outlook (SpaceX at $1.6T?!, OpenAI, Anthropic, Databricks), and dive deep into the secondary market dynamics for companies that won't go public in 2026. Plus, we explore the private Mag 7 vs. public Mag 7 in our [valuation corner] to answer the big question: where would you rather be—public or private markets? Then, Dave sits down with James Riney🐠Coral Capital, founder and managing partner of Coral Capital in Tokyo, Japan. James shares how he went from J.P. Morgan to founding one of Japan's largest crypto exchanges (Coin Check) to launching 500 Startups Japan (now Coral Capital) at age 26. They discuss Japan's explosive VC growth (from $700M to $7-10B annually), the rise of "hidden unicorns" (companies that IPO'd before hitting $1B), why secondaries weren't a thing in Japan until recently, and Coral's massive $100M secondary sale in SmartHR—the largest secondary exit ever in Japan that returned 6X on their fund while still holding half their stake.
