Same concept is in the excellent book “The natural golf swing” by Canadian golfer George Knudson.

Ball position matters — driver to putter🏌🏻‍♂️⛳ Different clubs need different ball positions for solid contact. Driver → forward. Fairway woods/hybrids → slightly center. Irons → center. Even chips and putts need the right spot✅ Small tweak, big difference. Check yours today. ⛳

Ball position matters more than most golfers realize.✅ Longer clubs need a forward position (shallower arc), shorter clubs need a backward one (steeper, downward strike).🏒 Beginners often use the same spot for every club — that's why contact feels inconsistent.✨ Get this right, and you'll hit the center of the face more often, letting each club do what it's built for. Sometimes it's not your swing that needs fixing — just where you place the ball.⛳

How do you play the uphill lie? There are actually a couple of ways you can do this. You can go with or against the slope! 1: With the slope (great for longer clubs as they’re generally shallower into contact) - Ball position, normal or even slightly further forward - spine angle, approximately perpendicular to the slope - The ball will go really high so club up 2: Against the slope (I like this better for shorter irons as the swing is steeper and we’re looking for solid contact just like Karol) - ball position further back - Lean on front leg - The through swing will probably be more of a punch style because of the slope Which one would you do? PS If you want to get PURE irons, hit the link in the comments for our extended 21-day free trial #golfshot #golfer

Our test for eye dominance is simple, but instructive. Identifying whether a golfer is same-side or cross-dominant can provide insight into their setup preferences in putting. Same-side dominant golfers often prefer the ball slightly farther back in their stance and tend to set up more open. This may be because it allows the golfer to use their dominant eye more to see the ball and line. 🎥 from our Golf Level 3 seminar at TPI HQ

Jack Nicklaus talking about his first round 67 of the 1995 Masters, which included holing a 5 iron at the 5th for an eagle (no video) and shots from his -4 back nine. He also made two at the 5th in the 3rd round😳 The 5th hole is always one of the toughest ranked holes year on year, and Jack makes two eagles in three days and at the ripe old age of 55,incredible!

One of Moe Norman's greatest lessons was simple: Don't hit the ball, swing through it. Most golfers focus on impact. Moe focused on a smooth swing all the way to the finish. His right hand simply went along for the ride while the lead side controlled the motion. That simple approach helped him hit the ball straighter, more consistently, and with less effort. #MoeNorman #SinglePlaneSwing #GolfTips #GolfSwing #TheIntelligentGolfSwing

Cameron Young says he started playing the golf ball that will be compliant with new standards back at the Wyndham Championship last year, his first win. He says he originally tested the ball two years ago and made the decision to play it because it's the ball he thought he could get the most out of. "I don't think any of us are out really here playing the ball that goes the farthest. I think you'd struggle to find a single person that's doing that. We're all sacrificing a certain amount of things that we feel are worth it, control with irons, control with wedges. For me, that's the biggest thing is being able to control spin, and this is the ball that does the best for me."
