Horrific luck for Luke Metcalf who won’t return after suffering a right hamstring injury. Rare goalkicking mechanism now seen twice in two weeks (after Ashton Ward in Round 23). Metcalf also has an extensive hamstring injury history - earlier this season a left hamstring injury cost him 6 weeks, and in 2023 right and left hamstring injuries both cost him 6+ weeks. A best case minor strain would usually be a 2-4 week return, but considering Metcalf’s history wouldn’t be surprised to see the Warriors be conservative with his return date.

Do more hill sprints. Hamstring strains are the #1 injury in contact sports and its one of the biggest reasons athletes never develop one of the most valuable qualities in sport - Speed. Hill sprinting is a smart way to reintroduce high-speed running if you’re cautious about hamstring injuries. Heavy isometrics are the lowest-hanging fruit when it comes to strength training for runners. There is no muscle damage, so they don’t make you sore. There is no technique or skill required, especially when you use a machine. Here I’m using the hamstring curl machine. After squeezing a relatively heavy weight for about 30 seconds, the hamstring muscle relaxes and the strain shifts to the tendon. Stronger tendons equal more force production, fewer injuries, and better running performance. It’s super simple. Hold a heavy fixed position for 30-60 seconds, then repeat for multiple sets if it’s a problem area. You can do these every day, multiple times a day. Isometrics are a game changer.

Can you see small medium then big elliptical on the right limb and very limited ones on the left? What does limb movement and synergies say about muscle properties and pelvic structure ? UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic 💪🏾Isokinetic tests have him really really strong on both limbs. 🔋Emg told a story of right side dominance and good lateral to medial hamstring balance whilst the left side was far more imbalanced with medial hamstrings dominating action that we assumed the lateral would. 🧐When we went on to the track, we saw similar things. 🚩Notably a reluctance to open up into late swing phase, avoiding long lever eccentric stress on the distal hamstrings…. ON THE LEFT LEG! I organized a dog walk a couple of weeks ago in New York when visiting. I asked if someone would bring a shelter dog along we could try re-home. This is Bubba Cranberry who came along. He was very shy and wary of other dogs so he had to stay at the back. I had to meet him quietly. He was lovely. Cranberry had been in the shelter for nearly a year. Nobody wanted him… (1/3) 🧵

STOP poisoning your babies!! "Day 13 after the 💉 7:39 am before daycare 5:10 pm intubated because he can’t breathe. Life flight coming to get him. Life flight leaving with him Him TERRIFIED not knowing what is happening. Chronic ear infections needing antibiotics that wreck their gut? Sick shortly after receiving 💉? “When I got to him that day he started to turn blue. I picked him up and held him out in front of me to open up his airway. He was still moving all extremities at that point. Minutes, maybe even seconds who knows, later his arms went limp and fell back behind him. The rest of his body then quit moving in my arms as well. 9-1-1 rushed us to the ER. All tests, blood work, scans, x-rays were normal. They intubated him because he was struggling to breathe on his own. Life flight came and reintubated him because he was uncomfortable. We got to Childrens at the same time they did. They admitted him and immediately took him for his MRI. Dr. Cullimore knew what was happening before we even got there. They had just had 2 children with the SAME thing leave in the last two weeks with it, they came from the same ER as each other. One left a day before we got there…but it’s “rare” right? They asked all sorts of questions. So many tried to blame his daycare provider. I knew that would never be the case. After his MRI she sat us down and specifically said “this can be caused by a vaccine or a virus”. My heart sank. I knew what happened to him. Still mad I didn’t get that on video. If you can plan a nursery, you can take the time to read an insert for your childs safety and wellbeing. My baby was not sick.”

UPDATE The man in the video has now come forward and provided the following video to explain what he brought into Mitch Sylvester's store. Information that I have received includes - He avoided calls from the RCMP for several weeks - He left the store with the item - He is claiming it was just a misunderstanding - The RCMP still has an open investigation - Charges could still be filed - There was one item, not two as previously reported If this was infact the item he brought into the store along with his "This is for Mitch" message, this is hands down the dumbest thing anyone can do to the employees of the store, and to Mitch directly. There still is an active investigation as showing staff a bullet, or a pen that looks like a bullet, uttering a threat, and not responding to the RCMP for weeks, is still grounds for criminal charges. Thank you to the dozens of people who did recognize the man, and provided tips.
