In Devon we use cream instead of butter, therefore cream first. I am Devon born and bred and do it properly! xx

Or you put jam on one half, cream on the other half and sandwich the scone (as in bone) back together. Problem solved.

To save any arguments, ditch the shop bought fruit scones and have a home baked cheese scone instead, slightly warm with cream cheese and chutney, 😉🤣❤️
