James’s Interview 💌 09.02.2026 #JamesSu 💬: Just how "villainous" or intense is your role going to be? 🤍: To be honest, for anyone who has read the novel, you’ll know that on a scale of 1 to 10, it’s a solid 10. But I have to thank P’Aof and Kru Kar for letting us workshop together. We discussed which topics we wanted to address or which issues we felt could be related back to the story. That’s why it’s quite intense, but I feel it makes perfect sense for the character in this context. 💬: It sounds like you’ve done a lot of homework for this. 🤍: A huge amount. Like Kru Kar mentioned, many people might think it’s just a story about the relationship between an artist and a fan, but the details are incredibly deep. That day, we spent time reading the script and workshopping together, and we only finished about two chapters, even though we started at 7:00 AM and went until 4:00 PM. 🤍: It’s a lot. I felt like once I started reading this story, I could hardly get up to go anywhere. I’m trying to capture as much detail from the character as I possibly can.

When he’s out meeting fans or at public events, he appears to be a very normal person. But the "behind the scenes" aspect what happens afterward involves a lot of complex, layered emotions. I have to capture all those details and act in a way that is distinct but subtle. That’s what makes it so difficult. 💬: There was mention earlier of whether this is based on a true story or if it will lead to any "hashtags" (call-outs) regarding anyone specifically. Are you worried about that? 🤍: Honestly, I think it depends on the interpretation. Some people aren't in this industry, while others are. It might resonate with many different people. But I can guarantee that every scene we are about to film makes perfect sense. If the script was written without logic, I’d be afraid it would come across as "fake." It might feel very real, but I should emphasize that it’s just within the context of the show. Everything that happens is just a form of entertainment media. 🤍: (Jokingly) Who knows, even us interviewing right now maybe the cameras aren't actually off and this will end up as footage.

I’ve just been feeling really grateful lately. Life is not where I want it to be yet. I’m still trying to figure things out. I’m still working, still trying, still hoping things get better. But when I stop and really think about everything I’ve been through, I’m proud of myself. There were so many times I didn’t know how I was going to get through something, but somehow, I did. I’m still here. I’m still dreaming. I’m still building my life. And honestly, that means a lot to me. I’m so grateful for every person who has supported me, checked on me, helped me, donated, shared my story, or simply reminded me that I’m not alone. I never expected some of the love I’ve received, and I’ll always be grateful for it. I don’t have everything figured out. I don’t have everything I want yet. But I believe things will get better. I believe in myself. And I know that one day, I’m going to look back at this version of me and say, “Girl, we really went through it.” 😂 Then I’ll look at my life and say, “But look at you now.” I’m proud of me.
