Homogenous societies like Japan don’t need riot police at train stations. End immigration.

The reasons Japanese are so quiet in public. 1) Japan is a very densely populated country and making a noise would create a lot of noise pollution. 2) Japanese houses were traditionally wooden structures with only paper thin doors. Making any noise indoor had to be avoided at all cost. 3) During the Samurai period, making a lot of noise and being rude in public was a very quick way to have your head cut off. 4) Japanese strictly differentiate a public space from a private space and only relax and speak up in restaurants and bars where it is culturally accepted.
