River Ryan...Welcome Back! How about 98 on the 4 seam and 92 on the slider for the K on the first hitter on re-entry. Ryan's fastball SAT 97 & touched 98....Wow! Slider was good, and he threw it the most, and it averaged 90! Ryan had Tommy John late in the season in 2024, spent all last season rehabbing, and now here he is. He AND his brother. The Tommy John will be nothing other than a blip on his radar. He fractured his back in High School, but continued to play as a 2-way at UNC Pembroke, but was mainly a shortstop. He got drafted by the Padres, still as a 2-way, then got traded to the Dodgers for Matt Beaty, and was moved to a pitcher only once he got here. So, he's a great athlete who thinks like a "baseball player" and not just a pitcher. In fact, ask around to those in the system as to who is the best athlete in the system, at any position, and see how high up the charts he is. #dodgers #dodgersprospects

Drew Brees talking about tearing his ACL as a junior in high school is a reminder that quarterback development is not always linear. At that stage, the fear is real. You are not just dealing with the injury. You are dealing with the thought that the season is gone, the team opportunity is gone, and maybe the player you thought you were is gone too. That is where the growth starts. The rehab process forced Brees into a different kind of development. He gained weight. He got stronger. He had to work through discomfort without the immediate reward of a game on Friday night. The quarterback position eventually tests more than talent. It tests emotional control, discipline, patience, and the ability to keep building when nobody can promise the outcome. The best part of his story is not simply that he came back. It is that he came back with a different internal standard. The injury became a filter. Cut this clip from Baldy because I think it’s a great example of Maye’s growth and the difference between him and someone like Caleb Williams Maye’s ability to keep his eyes up field inside the pocket, sense the pressure, move within the pocket, escape, and still keep his eyes up to make the throw… that’s a QB who feels comfortable Players like Caleb, you will see immediately put their head down, dip outside the pocket and by the time they look back up, Douglas is covered back up.

POV: you study Yamamoto's secret book to throw 98mph. Here’s the exact workout Yoshinobu Yamamoto does straight out of his Japanese book. It’s called the Five B’s. The first B is Breath. This helps him stay loose and learn how to relax. The second B is Board. This trains his feet and balance. The third B is Bar. This works on rib cage and pelvis mobility. The fourth B is Bowl. This helps him understand where his center of mass is. The fifth B is Bridge. This improves spinal extension in his pitching delivery. On top of that, he does a lot of judo style movements. That teaches him how to control his body while turning and falling. Just like the drift in his delivery. I actually created a full guide breaking down what he does and why. Sometimes as fans, we are mostly focused on how the achievements of the team means to us and we forget about the players. How they feel about it, what it means for them to win these games. Take Noni Madueke for instance, his transfer to Arsenal was a mess. A lot of the fans didn't understand the move and there was a lot of displeasure about it online. How do you think that made Madueke feel? This is a guy who was on top of his game in the Netherlands before moving to Chelsea and everything changed for him. He went from a confident dribbling monster, fighting for silverware to whatever he was at Chelsea, a shadow of himself. Now he has won the league in his first season at Arsenal and made the world cup squad for England. Arteta is not only saving the lives of the fans, he is also saving the lives of his players. CJ Allen was a projected Round 1 guy all year and hurt his knee on Nov 15th. He could’ve shut it down to prep for the draft, but he played 13 days after knee surgery because he loves football and couldn’t imagine not finishing with his guys. That makes him a fucking dog. Allen didn’t go through full workouts yesterday or at the combine because his knee is still swollen. When he made those decisions in November he either a) knew it was possible it could effect his draft process but loves football too much to care, or b) was too fixated on his responsibility as a leader and a player to worry about anything else. However you do the math, he’s still a dog. Accounts like this want football players who love football right up until loving football changes how they workout in shorts. My guess is that the NFL team who takes Allen will be the kind who values tape over combine hype, recognizes his excellent football IQ, and wants players who love football because they love it instead of loving football for what it can give them. Those are the kinds of front offices who usually compete for championships. He seems to move just fine in pads

He’s one of the rare presenters that values and reviews cars emotionally, he taught us to see the soul in cars, in part of passion the engineers and builders give to the machine. while it most of the time makes a terrible buying guide, he tells you how the car made him feel. And that’s what it matters. No matter how stupid a car is on paper, all it matters is that it gives you a smile. This made his reviews much more fun to listen to without being overly nerdy. Most reviewers fall into this weird place where they talk way too much about numbers and technical terms, and most of the time just a speaking brochure. And he believes that cars are living entities because there’s so much chaotic variable that could go wrong, hence his attachments to Alfa Romeos.
