Jason Williams does a great job explaining how LeBron would “win 1 on 1 every time” in the 90s because of how easy it was for isolation scorers then

The rules back then basically made you treat a non 3 point shooting threat as a 3 point threat.

This would be gibberish to those MJ lovers

He said some very interesting stuff

I stopped listening when he said “nobody can guard anybody one on one”. Just cause J Williams couldn’t guard anybody one on one, don’t mean everyone is a weak defender like him. Bron is not an isolation scorer!

JW is convienently forgetting about the BIG in the paint waiting in the 90’s.. the game wasn’t as spread out. And they were more physically defense allowed. They’re were typically a BIG shot blocker or paint defender I. The form of a C or PF.

Love J Will. But what wasn't mentioned was how the spacing of the game was different in the 90s vs now. MJ was catching it on the midpost & had two teammates (PF,C) occupying the blocks. So when he got passed his defender, he met multiple post defenders protecting the rim.

“So MJ, He just had to beat that first guy” 💀🤣🤣 meth head just saying anything

Ppl don’t understand how special Lebron is. To be able to play any position and be a height nightmare for damn near 5 positions is insane.

THANK YOU! I’ve been trying to explain this to people for YEARS

It was less spacing with two bigs down low and three-point shooting not being as big. Bron is also not the great 1 on 1 player like MJ Bron would’ve been great but it just would’ve been a different game for him
