Jay Dyer was busted using a spurious quote in the Capturing Christianity debate. This is why debates on history are so dangerous with dishonest actors like Jay. Literally can make quotes up and their followers eat it up. [See video by Allan Ruhl]

@CapturingChrist @AllanRuhl Not a good look for dyertroons!

@CapturingChrist @AllanRuhl Thanks for doing the homework!

@CapturingChrist @AllanRuhl Jay fanboys must be punching air right now.

@CapturingChrist @AllanRuhl Wonder if @Jay_D007 is gonna respond to this.

@CapturingChrist @AllanRuhl Here is the original Latin that includes part of the quote Jay highlighted in English. "Ancilla" does NOT mean "worship", but "enslavement". Thus, while they didn't know it, Muslims were doing the bidding of demons against Christians.

@CapturingChrist @AllanRuhl Certified forgery moment

@CapturingChrist @AllanRuhl Even if it were a wholly accurate quote, it would not substantiate his contention. So…🤷🏻

@CapturingChrist @AllanRuhl If Jay using a spurious quotes is a problem and makes his whole position invalid then you should definitely leave Catholicism. Very ironic. *cough* donation of Constantine, The Decretals, Liber Pontificalis, etc. *cough*

Did you know that the Eastern Orthodox used tons of spurious documents to make many of their arguments and, ironically, that includes the Donation of Constantine. For the record, it is possible to argue a true thing using spurious documents. Consider if I was trying to prove I was born in the USA (true) and in that effort I presented a clipping from a newspaper showing my birth announcement in a US City. If that birth announcement was later shown to be fake, it wouldn't change the truth of my claim. But not sure what your argument is here. That because of the Donation of Constantine Jay Dyer making up quotes doesn't matter? Is that really your thought on this?

@CapturingChrist @AllanRuhl "Dishonest" from you...

@CapturingChrist @AllanRuhl Me : Dyer lied You : I am going to defend him anyway
