The couple will be remanded in judicial custody on Tuesday. An investigation officer said Chandra Mohan studied BSc hotel management and worked for about three years at a hotel in Coimbatore and another leading hotel on St Marys Road in Alwarpet. After working at a club in Velachery for a few years, he shifted his business to selling second-hand cars from 2017 onwards. During questioning, the arrested Dhanalakshmi told police that she had met Chandramohan while studying at a tailoring institute through a common friend. The woman Dhanalakshmi was married to a mechanic and the couple has a 20-year-old daughter and a 17-year-old son. They lived at a house in Mylapore, police said. Chandramohan was also married and had two children, ages 16 and 12. He lived with his family in Velachery.
