Data Centers are the new economy breeding ground. Drive them away and you'll be making sure your children and their children move to places with jobs. High tech well paying jobs. Along with all the supporting infrastructure they bring with them. They pay for their own power.

@DarrenBaileyIL This is true with lower tier data centers that aren't huge. The bigger and more complex the DC, the more people are needed. A Tier 4 Data Center is not going to be automated. They must have more human resources. A.I. Data Centers are Tier 4 with dozens of employees.

I am concerned with how data facilities will impact our productive farmland, while what's their impact on acreage prices, (short trem)? Communities will grow around them. Is that good or bad for nearby cities with dewlind populations? Any studies?

While data centers expand, oversight and protections aren't keeping pace. The same concerns apply to Flock cameras where legislation has not caught up with their use.

They always tell you WHAT THEY WILL SUPPOSEDLY DO based on the promised end result but never tell you HOW they're going to do it.

They only provide a classrooms worth of jobs once they are built. They aren't factories where 100's or even 1000's of people a day can earn a living. Data centers basically operate with a skeleton crew. Ask the land owners around these centers how their water supply is doing
