I caught up with Joe Mazzulla's high school basketball coach (current Hendricken Athletics basketball coach & AD) Jamal Gomes about Mazzulla's COY honor. He shared that Mazzulla quietly paid a visit to Hendricken over the winter to speak with students, but he wouldn't let the school retire his jersey. "He wanted to come back and spend time with the students and reminisce about his time here at Hendricken. He was not about the fanfare, getting awards, any of that." NBC 10 WJAR

-Meet Kazi Masum Akhtar, a school headmaster from West Bengal. - On Republic Day, he asked his students to sing the National Anthem as part of the celebrations. -He was attacked by extremists for standing by this patriotic act. -Despite the attack, he refused to abandon his commitment to education, patriotism, and social reform. -Through years of dedicated service, he inspired generations of students and worked for communal harmony. -In recognition of his outstanding contribution to society, he was honoured with the Padma Shri in 2020. -His life is a reminder that courage and conviction can triumph over fear.

" Barnabas Nawangwe must not only revoke the suspension of the #HungryatMakerere students, he must apologise to them for such unjust and brutal treatment." This morning I took the 3 suspended students to meet Isaac Ssemakadde the president of Uganda Law Society. He was offended by the militarism which Nawangwe unleashed on the hungry students. ULS presido gave so much hope to the students promising Nawangwe that he will personally be sued as an individual for violating students rights with illegitimate suspensions and dismissals. "I now have an army of 5600 lawyers to fight for justice. I am going to start by releasing 40 lawyers to work on these students cases." I think Isaac Ssemakadde was ordained of God to come and fight for our students rights. If Nawangwe thought that the suspensions were tools to Bully and intimidate the hungry and vulnerable students, he was so wrong.. Makereres Old boys are coming to the rescue.

💬: jeonghan dreamed of becoming a teacher when he was young. what did teaching mean to you during your military service? is there a memorable experience you’d like to share? 👼🏻: i worked as an assistant teacher at a specialized school for students with disabilities, and while i was working there, i kept thinking that i was really glad i had ended up at this place of service rather than being assigned somewhere else 👼🏻: at first, there were parts that were difficult because i couldn’t adjust, but as i gradually got used to it and continued helping the children by their side, i grew attached to them, and i also felt a sense of fulfillment. i also felt that being able to spend that period being addressed as ‘teacher’ was really meaningful 👼🏻: usually, when you go to work in the morning, you’re so tired, right? but some of the children would greet me, saying, ‘hello, teacher jeonghan~,’ and somehow… in that moment, i felt really rewarded, and i naturally found myself smiling. i think i especially remember those children who would greet me so warmly in the morning this is so heartwarming 🥺

Black students at UNC-Chapel Hill gathered in a campus building for a watch party. A man who had no affiliation with the university entered the locked building and turned that room into a place of fear. He shouted racial slurs. He threw objects. Students dropped to the floor because they believed he was reaching for a gun. He was later seen holding an aerosol can and a lighter. Police took him into custody, and he was hospitalized for signs of mental distress. He is expected to face charges including aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, and vandalism, and will be trespassed from campus. The Orange County District Attorney will determine whether hate crime charges apply. The university did not issue a campus-wide alert, saying there was no ongoing threat once he was detained. Students have questioned that decision, and how a man with no connection to the school got into a building that was locked. Updates to follow as more information becomes available. 🎥: WRAL

Some parents was criticizing this teacher in Texas for throwing his students a pizza party. He gives all of his students a slice of pizza and a drink for free. However if they want more, he charges them $2 a slice and $1 a drink. At the end of the day, everyone in his class was able to enjoy a free piece of pizza and a drink. He bought extra to sell to make his money back and that’s where some parents had an issue. Do you feel he was trying to scam his students or was he just doing the best he can because many teachers don’t make allot?

A MOMENT OF JOY. A student received his monthly NELFUND stipend during our programme in Gombe yesterday and was overwhelmed with joy. He could not contain his joy. He came forward, took the microphone, and shared his testimony with other students. This is the impact of supporting students and creating opportunities for them to succeed. No be cho cho cho! Thank you Asiwaju!! Renewed Hope in Action!!! #NELFUND #RenewedHope

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, or IDEA, opened doors that were once firmly shut for students with disabilities. As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the IDEA, we reflect on how far we’ve come, and the work yet to do, to protect students with disabilities.

The father promised to play and cuddle his son after work. When he got home, he was tired and his clothes were dirty. He didn’t want to break his promise by going to change, so he played with his son just as he was. A few minutes later, he fell asleep. The child would remember those moments forever.

He is WB Govt Minister Manas Bhuniya. Now listen to what he is saying ! He is threatening ordinary students at the 'Freshers’ Welcome' programme at Sabang Sajanikanta Mahavidyalaya! Not only that, during the programme, he made sarcastic remarks about the “standard” of the professors because, at another college’s freshers’ event he had attended earlier, students were made to stand in the sun with folded hands to welcome him—even though he arrived two hours late. Since that did not happen at this college, he started threatening the authorities with transfer. He then openly threatened students for leaving to have food instead of listening to his speech. At one point, he even pointed directly at a girl student for smiling and warned her publicly. The situation escalated further when he called a student to the front of the stage and forced him to delete a video from his phone. He also instructed that students’ phones be checked to identify who had recorded his threatening speech !
