Jerry Seinfeld explains why he turned down $110,000,000 to make another season of Seinfeld. Jerry Seinfeld: “That was Larry David’s idea.” Howard Stern: “NBC didn’t say, ‘Hey, you’re mentioning masturbation’?” Jerry Seinfeld: “Never said the word. One sponsor pulled out of the show that was all I remember in terms of any sort of blowback.” Howard Stern: “Warren Littlefield wrote that if you would have given him another season of Seinfeld, he would have paid you $110,000,000 for the year, and you said no. Is that the ultimate integrity?” Jerry Seinfeld: “I could have gotten more than that. “Integrity is a nice word, and a flattering one. I appreciate that. That’s what’s fun about coming on your show, you really want to be honest, because that’s what you bring to it. “The love affair between the people making the show and the audience was so intense, so white-hot, that I had to respect it. I couldn’t let it get to the point where it started to age and wither. It can only stay that way for so long. “We had this hot, intense season, so the audience would have a feeling that it never was bad.”

Hugh Jackman says Jerry Seinfeld turned down $100,000,000 to do another season of Seinfeld and told him to walk away from Wolverine the same way HUGH: "I had a great chat with Jerry Seinfeld. I sat next to him and I asked him, I said, 'How did you know it was the end?'" HUGH: "We were getting offered whatever money they were getting. It was 100 million he got offered to do another season." HUGH: "He said, 'I believe you leave. Leave when you're not like I'm done.' He says, 'Because if you're done, it will affect your next thing.'" HOWARD: "I was going to say to you, no offense to Jerry Seinfeld. That's the worst advice I ever heard."

Larry David says he was ready to quit Seinfeld if NBC refused to air “The Contest.” “The Contest sat in my notebook for three years.” “It was a Seinfeld episode built around a masturbation contest, and I thought there was no chance NBC would approve it.” “I didn’t even tell Jerry about it at first.” “We had a board with all the upcoming Seinfeld episodes on it.” “I refused to put that one on the board because I didn’t want the network asking questions.” “I knew it was something special.” “By the time I pitched it, I’d already made up my mind.” “If they didn’t do the episode, I was quitting Seinfeld.” “That was always my move. I was always threatening to quit.”

"I wanna be in a coffeeshop at two in the morning with some other comics." - Jerry Seinfeld when asked where he wanted to be in 10 years, while doing press for "The Seinfeld Chronicles" a four-episode show, under the Late Night and Specials department at NBC. One of the reasons the show was successful is Jerry and Larry were ready to walk away at any moment if they were unable to make the show they wanted to make. They were not going to compromise their artistic integrity.

Jerry Seinfeld says he regrets claiming the extreme left suppressed comedy. Jerry Seinfeld: I did an interview with The New Yorker. Tom Papa: Mhm. Jerry Seinfeld: And I said that the extreme left has suppressed the art of comedy. Tom Papa: Mhm. Jerry Seinfeld: I did say that. Tom Papa: Yeah. Jerry Seinfeld: That’s not true. (laughs) It’s not true. Tom Papa: No? Jerry Seinfeld: No. Again, you want to go back. Let’s go back to our solid, liquid analogy. Tom Papa: Okay. Jerry Seinfeld: And the other thing that I have said about this: if you’re Lindsey Vonn, if you’re a champion skier… Tom Papa: Uh-huh. Jerry Seinfeld: …you can put the gates anywhere you want on the mountain. She’s going to make the gate. Tom Papa: Right. Jerry Seinfeld: That’s comedy. Tom Papa: Mhm. Jerry Seinfeld: Whatever the culture is, we make the gate. Tom Papa: Mhm. Jerry Seinfeld: You don’t make the gate, you’re out of business. That’s your job. You make the gate. The culture moves. People are different. They react differently. Your job is to make the gate. If you can’t make the gate, get another job. That’s what I think. That’s how I feel about it now.

On The Rich Eisen Show, former MLB player Keith Hernandez explained how he landed his iconic guest role on Seinfeld despite never having seen the show or taking an acting class. Keith Hernandez: I didn't watch any prime time TV because we play night games and I didn't know what the Seinfeld show was. Rich Eisen: You had no idea. Keith Hernandez: I had no idea it was the second season and I believe it was the second or third season the show hadn't taken off and um Scott said is when you want to go do this show and I said in L.A it's a sit and I go what is it he goes it's a sitcom and I go how much are they going to pay me and he said they'll give you a 15 grand and they'll fly your first class to LA and you're there for the whole week it's probably minimal lines I said okay I'll do it. Would professional athletes today be as willing to drop into a sitcom with zero acting experience, or is everything too calculated now?

Jerry Seinfeld apologizes after realizing he hurt Adam Carolla’s feelings by refusing to look at his Porsche. Jerry Seinfeld: He came up to me and said, “Hey, my 935 is here. I want you to see it.” Adam Carolla: Mm-hmm. Jerry Seinfeld: I thought, for me to get to where his car was, I’d have to move through a lot of people. I was already dealing with a lot of people. At a big Porsche event, I get a lot of interaction, which is great. I love meeting people and I love the fans. Adam Carolla: You’re a very recognizable guy. You’ve been in the public eye for a long time. People recognize you at any airport. But if you go to a Porsche event… Jerry Seinfeld: It amps it up. Adam Carolla: It amps it up. The recognition factor is off the charts. Jerry Seinfeld: So I said, “Why do I have to see your car? What does it do for the car if I look at it? Nothing. It doesn’t add value. All that’s going to happen is I’ll walk over and say, ‘Hey, that’s cool.’” Adam Carolla: I know. Jerry Seinfeld: And I thought, if he needs that, what kind of comedian needs that kind of recognition? So I said, “I don’t need to do that.” Adam Carolla: I’ve been saying for years they should brick up the Louvre. What does it do for the Mona Lisa if you look at it? Jerry Seinfeld: Yeah, but you do get it. You want the recognition of saying, “I have this.” I’m the opposite. I’m not a “look at what I have” guy like a lot of car guys are. Adam Carolla: Right. Jerry Seinfeld: I’m very low-key. I never like to show my stuff. I do it for me. I enjoy it. There’s a whole show-off segment of the car community that I don’t love being around. Adam Carolla: Yeah. They’re called most car guys. Jerry Seinfeld: I thought I was just being smart-alecky and funny when I said, “I don’t want to see your car.” But I later saw Adam talking about it, and I realized I had hurt his feelings. I felt terrible, and I wanted to come here and apologize for trying to be funny in a way that came off as nasty.

Baier: I just got off the phone with the president…. I asked, “what you are saying is you know there is somebody on the ground in Iran that is going to rise up?” He said, “yeah, I feel there is. I feel that and some of them are no longer with us to be honest because it was 49 leaders that were taken out. That was going to take four weeks we thought to get rid of the Iranian leadership and it is always, you know, if they hide, it is a lot longer than four weeks. They would have been hiding. We were shocked when we heard what was going on. We knew exactly what was happening… they are talking about using people now that nobody ever heard of—even they don't know. They are using people, studying people to be the leader that even they don't know who they are. Can you believe that?” I said it's a tough succession plan in Iran. He said, “49 leaders is deep. It's very deep. When they met, they met for breakfast. They assumed it was good for a lot of reasons. Number one they didn't think we knew. You never attack in the morning having to do with wind and sun and a lot of things. It was amazing that we knew everything we knew.”

Jerry Seinfeld says he turned down $110,000,000 for one more season of Seinfeld “I could have gotten more than that. The love affair between the people making the show and the audience was so intense. It was so white hot. I had to respect that. I could not go to that point where it starts to age and wither. It doesn't take long” “For example, you go see a comedian. At an hour and 10 minutes, you love the guy. At an hour and 30 minutes, it's like, ‘I thought he was never going to finish.’ And you walk out with a whole different feeling. It's a small amount of too much” “We had this wonderful, intense love affair between the people making the show and the audience, and I wanted it to end with a fireworks burst. It never was bad”

😑 “You know, when I did the 250, there was nothing I could do. It was 250. It was 250. So I can't see -- that was my baby. The country happened to be 250 years old. But what I did do is during my first term, I got the Olympics, and I got the Great Soccer. You know that whole deal, right? I got -- we call it soccer. They call it football. I got them both. I got the Olympics. First, I got the Olympics, and I got it. I was president. And I said, you know, it's a shame. It's a shame. I got the World Cup, and I have the Olympics, and I did it. And you have no idea. President Obama didn't want to make a call to the Olympics. You know why? Because he went to Switzerland or wherever, and he said, you know, if a president goes to get the Olympics, you have to have a deal. You have to be chosen. He went there, and he came in fourth, so he hated them, I guess. And he was unwilling to make a call, and they called me up. The Democrats called me up, actually, from Los Angeles, and I said, I'll do it. I made the call, and I couldn't get the people off the phone because they were so starved for love, because nobody would call them from -- anyway, we made a deal. I got the Olympics. Then we got the World Cup with Johnny. We got the World Cup, and I got them both, and I looked at my people. I said, isn't it a shame? I got these two, but it wasn't in the next four years. It was right after that, and the one after that. And I got the Olympics, and I got the World Cup, and we also have 250, so that's a pretty wild term. But I got these two things that are incredible. Nobody else could have done it. I'm telling you, everybody wanted it. Nobody could have done it. And I said, and I won't be president, because I'll be president for four more years, but it won't be -- and then they cheated and rigged the election. They rigged -- you know, they don't even turn off the cameras when I say that now, because now they know it's true, too. But they knew it was true before. Remember, the cameras used to immediately turn off. You see all those beautiful red lights go off. Now I can say whatever I want, because then they know it's true. But they knew it was true before. It's fake news. That's why they call it. But you know what? This term is much more consequential than if I had done it the more traditional way. This was slightly harder, believe me. It's slightly more dangerous, because they're criminals on the other side that tried to put your president in jail and went after him, just like they do in third-world countries. And we all beat em together. We beat em because our level of popularity was so high.”

💥💥💥💥💥💥 Judge Jeanine Pirro US Attorney Pirro on Benghazi: PIRRO: “And Bakoush in particular, you know, there's one thing, Dan, that I'm going to share with you that I really haven't told anyone. And I don't know if you recall, but in 2012, we were all talking about Benghazi. And unfortunately, you know, the death of Ambassador Chris Stevens and the other three operatives who were there, at the CIA, at the compound there. The truth is that we fought talking about whether or not it was a peaceful protest that went awry, or whether it was, you know, people just weren't there to burn down the embassy. And when I got into the office, I said, pull the Benghazi file. And so we pulled it and we had drones. Dan, we knew what was going on. And I looked at these drones. And it was clear to me, Dan, that there was no peaceful protest. There was no one who got there and said, you know, we object to the United States being here. These MOs, they're MFers, they came in with rocket-propelled grenades because they knew what they were going to do. And when they couldn't break into the Ambassador’s residence, they went out and they got fueled to burn him out. And I remember saying to the prosecutors in the room, Dan, well, the nation and Hillary Clinton, you know, were all fighting it was a peaceful protest. No, it wasn't. Yes, it was. No, it wasn't. We know for a fact that it was not a peaceful protest. The drones made it clear they came there to tear the place down.” Dan Bongino Catch The Dan Bongino Show EVERY WEEKDAY on Rumble 🏴‍☠️ at 10am ET

Seth Rogen reveals The Interview used a real tiger because the CGI was too expensive, then the tiger wrangler started asking terrifying questions I did a movie called The Interview about North Korea, and there’s a scene with a tiger. I directed the movie with my partner, and we wrote this scene where there’s a tiger. I thought in my head it would be CG. Life of Pi had come out recently, and I was like, “We’ll get the Life of Pi tiger. Put us down for one Life of Pi.” They were like, “We can’t afford that at all. We’ve got to get a real tiger.” I was like, “Oh God.” So we found a tiger wrangler in Calgary, and we had a call with him. It was so funny because he was the least confidence inspiring person you’ve ever spoken to in your entire life. I asked, “Where’d you get the tiger?” He said, “From a stripper.” We were like, “What?” He said, “She had a tiger cub as part of her act, and it got too big, so she had to get rid of it.” We asked, “Where does a stripper get a tiger?” He said, “It’s easier than you think. You could get one.” We had sent him the script, and he said, “Let’s go over the scene. You’re not shooting this at night, are you?” I said, “Yeah, the scene is set at night.” He said, “Ooh.” I asked, “Why is that bad?” He said, “Well, they hunt at night.” He asked, “Can it be during the day?” We said, “No. Is that okay?” There was a long pause, and he said, “Yeah, it’s okay. I think it’s okay.” Then he asked, “It won’t be in a big open area, will it?” We said, “Yeah, it’s basically a giant meadow.” He said, “Ooh.” We asked, “Is that bad?” He said, “Well, if there’s a deer or something, they will go after it.” We said, “That’s bad. Should we not do this?” He said, “No, it’s fine.” Then he asked, “It won’t be raining, will it?” We said, “Yeah. We’re filming in Vancouver in the winter. It will be raining.” He said, “Oh, that’s not good.” We asked, “Why?” He said, “The rain really agitates them. They just don’t like the rain.” We asked, “Should we not do it?” He said, “No, it’s fine. It’ll be fine.”

He said it was actually fascinating how different they are 😂 🐹 Ah, back then, we were sitting at that meat restaurant... What did we even talk about? 🐰 We kept trying to find something we had in common LT: Did you find anything? 🐰 Ah unfortunately, nothing lined up. We kept missing each other LT: Ah... so you really didn't click 🐹 That actually made it even more fascinating. I mean, you'd think we'd have at least one thing in common, but literally everything was different. That's what was so surprising 🐰 The writers were really trying to help us become close, so they deliberately seated the two of us together at the same restaurant and had us keep talking. But it kept going like this: “Oh, I do this. Do you do it too?” “No, no” “No? Ah... wait... Then how about...?” It just kept repeating like that JS: Right, right, right #지성 #박지성 #왕자와거지

“How did the American Dream die? How did the Middle Class die? I'm going to tell you” Every person in America needs to understand this - It started in the 1980s with trickle down economics that did not work. They decided to give tax cuts to the rich incorporation saying that money would trickle down. It didn't. It just made the rich richer - Then we greenlit stock buybacks so instead of when the productivity was going up, instead of giving workers more money, they just bought back their stock so the shareholders could make profit and executives could get bonuses - Then we had leveraged buyouts and the government didn't regulate leverage buyouts. And that was the start of private equity basically buying up everything so that they could make more money - Then we moved away from pensions to 401ks which essentially just took the responsibility and accountability of the company to take care of their workers with the retirement and put it on to individuals. But we were never taught economics in high school. So how the f*ck are we supposed to know about compound interest and investing? But they said the 401k was better than the pension, when it wasn't - Then they started shipping our jobs overseas, building the middle class of other countries so that they could make more profit destroying the middle class here. Then we started ramping up the borrowing money and getting into debt as a country which devalues our dollar. - Then in 2008 we had predatory lending which crashed the housing market, fucked over so many Americans. And then we used taxpayer money to bail out the banks. And when all the houses were cheap, the the rich went and bought those up. And that's when you started to see the rent start to increase around the 2010s into the 2015s - Then in 2011 we allowed super PACs to exist so billionaires can now buy elections and they use that money on attack ads. Which divides the country. Divide and conquer. And that's what they did - In 2020 we had the pandemic which both sides of the aisle handled like absolute shit. Shut down all small businesses, all the money went to the top. The rich got richer. They printed trillions of dollars more which people needed. But what did all the people do? We spent the money cause we needed to spend the money. And where did that money go? To the top. And they got richer. - Lastly they decided during the pandemic let's lower the interest rates on buying a home to 2 and a half to 3% so that people could refinance and get ahead. But no, all that really did was give the green light to a bunch of rich people to basically borrow free money. And buy up all the f*cking housing so that we can no longer own a home. And that all ended in 2021. Then we've experienced 25% inflation since the pandemic and here we are in 2025, and we no longer have a middle class, and the American dream is dead.”

As a hot war in the Middle East ramps up, Trump takes a SEVEN MINUTE BREAK to deliver this demented vowel movement about his fountains. Read it. He is absolutely gone. 1/2 “We also have a beautiful city. We had 22 fountains. Every one of them didn't work. One of them, probably the best was one that hasn't worked for 50 years. That was about the best. They've all been out of commission for 50 years or more. Can you imagine it? They were graffiti-strung, grass-strung, the grass growing through the cracks. And they were in terrible shape. And all 22 have now been opened. And the most magnificent, possibly, of all the waterfront and union station is beautiful. You see that? It was all graffiti all over the place. We-- it's a lot of work. We got it looking maybe better than it was the day they put it in. But the one that we're all talking about is the almost 2,500 foot long that's taller than any building in the world, actually. There's no building that's 2,500 feet tall. I don't think. But it's like twice the height of the Empire State Building is an example, much wider. So we just got that open. Last night, we went to do it before July 4, and it is incredible. It's called-- it was originally called 1922. It was built. It was called the Reflecting Pond, or the Reflecting Lakes of people called it. But it was supposed to be a reflection. It never worked from 1920 to-- because it was stone on the base. And no matter what, it always leaked, because you have stone, and you have lots of crevins that we have nice stone out there. But if you go between the stone, it leaks. And so it never really worked very well. And it was a bad color. It was gray. It's concrete and stones. It was gray. And I had the idea, along with some great people that worked for us, Doug Burgum, his fantastic, his group, Greg, everybody. And it worked very hard. But it was going to cost $400 million. And we did it for about $10 million. It was going to take four years to build. So we did it in, like, a month, a month and a half. And we would have had our construction site out there for years. And it wouldn't have worked when they built it. So when they told me what they were going to do, I said, that's not a good idea. I built many, many swimming pools as a builder. I built hundreds of them. And I got one of our contractors. I had them take a look. And he said, oh, we can do a great job. If you could just give us a decent surface, a surface was in sense. So we sand blasted the surface. We fumeigated it. We took out 11 dumpsters, big dumpsters, full of garbage. It was all garbage. Some of the garbage was after years. It was all disgusting. And it smelled. And anyway, we took 11 dumpsters of garbage out. With shovels, we had a shovel inside of what's called a pool or a lake. And I got it cleaned. We then fumeigated it. We then sandblasted the entire thing. Washed it cleaned. It scrubbed it. Sandblasted it. Then we gave it a test. Then we rinsed it out. And we gave them a beautiful surface. And then they put a swimming pool topping, but industrial strength. It's industrial strength. It's used for tanks and lots of other things. So it will water. And we worked out the ratios of expansion and contraction, because you know, believe it or not, when you have something that's 2,500 feet long, this tremendous expansion. And who would think of this? Only a person that doesn't like me. And they have a lot of expansion and contraction. So when we're putting the surface down, we'd leave areas that can expand and contract a little bit. Because it expands over a foot and a half, can you believe it? So I would have ripped it apart. So we left areas of expansion and contraction. We were testing it for three weeks, four weeks. Works great. And we just opened it last night, and people are going wild over.”

Joe Rogan and Joe DeRosa discover that Honeymooners creator Jackie Gleason walked away from $7,000,000 left on his contract in 1956 because he didn’t want to “cheapen” the show. That's about $83,000,000 in today’s money, or $1,000,000 per episode. ROGAN: “There’s only one season?” DEROSA: "He did 39 episodes. And he was like, 'We did it. It's done.' Nobody does that now. They were like, 'You have to do more of these.' And he's like, 'Nope, we did it. We're good. We have nothing left to say.'" ROGAN: "Really?" DEROSA: "Yeah. And then they did reunion shows and shit. But, like, that was it. That's wild!" DEROSA: "Look at this. He had $7 million left in his contract in 1956, which is crazy money. [Gleason said], 'The excellence of the material could not be maintained. I had too much fondness for the show to cheapen it.'" ROGAN: "Wow." DEROSA: "I mean, that is baller shit back then. Like, that is not something people were doing back then." ROGAN: "Or he just got lazy because he had so much money." JAMIE: "CBS was gonna give him a three-year contract for what would have been $132 million today. He was going to get close to like a million dollars an episode." ROGAN: "A million an episode back then?" JAMIE: "No, no, no. [In today's dollars]." DEROSA: "When Seinfeld... announced they were all going to get a million an episode, I remember that was like groundbreaking... This guy was offered the equivalent of that back in '56 and said, 'Nah, I'm good.'" In December 1954, Gleason signed a three-year, $11,000,000 deal with Buick and CBS, the largest contract in television history at the time. The deal called for two seasons with an option for a third, but he stopped after one, leaving roughly $7,000,000 on the table. Gleason said: “The excellence of the material could not be maintained. I had too much fondness for the show to cheapen it.”
