JetBlue HQ is in NYC. It's possible someone with an Australian accent works there, but I'd guess they have some kind of contract with a call center. She probably did call customer service, but transferred to a different company's service, and this guy knew he could say whatever.

I am having a hard time believing this is real. I just can't imagine an employee talking to a customer like that without some drastic going Postal shi+ on his coworkers right after hanging up. It would be all over the news. I'm not making fun of the situation or being sarcastic. At least I don't think I'm being sarcastic, maybe a tad, I can never tell anymore. I hope that if it is real, that young family hits the lawsuit lottery.

Ron: "Are you implying you're gonna get me fired?" Mom: "I'm not implying I'm gonna get you fired"

Just a heads up... scammers are putting realistic 1800 numbers -- when you do a google search it will pop up and it's someone from India or someone from a call center that is a fraud and they try to scam you. This is really popular with airlines. Happens a lot.

Ron better start looking for a new job!

@MrsGrimesGrant OMG was this real or did someone intercept the jet blue customer service call center number? This is crazy!

Another airline put my 9 yr old on the wrong plane one time. Fortunately she was a savvy kid/flyer and realized the problem, was escorted off and onto the correct flight. Airlines comped me two free RT vouchers proactively. That's how it's done.

The reason he told her she'd have to hang up is so that she didn't get the survey. A bad enough survey triggers a review of the call. I'm going to say real.

At 2:10, you can hear 'Recording Deleted' through the phone system. I wonder how many other interactions like this have been missed. Why can the operator just delete these recordings? @JetBlue
