Jin before Tekken 8 turned him into an anime character.

No offense people but this is how I know people see Tekken in two different lights. This gif clearly demonstrates grounded Karate which is very similar to how Jin has fought historically but people are here talking to me about cutscenes and his behaviour in the story 😂 this is why the martial arts debate was a waste of time. It's clear that Tekken had very grounded martial arts in its gameplay (even the MainMan uploaded a video just now explaining how grounded Jins fighting style was) and Tekken 8 changed that for everyone, but any time you mention this people wanna talk about cutscenes and a story mode 😂 conversations over. This is really one of those times where people just wanna play dumb.

I really like how the disavowed the Mishima style and taught himself karate from the ground up. Man's was literally a self made warrior

Yeah, it was really cool. I remember being a kid and wondering why anyone would wanna abandon such a powerful fighting style but as an adult, you gotta respect it.

This is a hot take but I really prefer Jin being an anime character now considering the fact that Tekken has always been hella anime with robots, karate panda/bears and devil. Not to mention he still does these stuff

That's cool cos it's a preference but when you watch Jin being played, whilst he has a lot of this in his moveset still, he doesn't use it anywhere near as much if at all because they beefed up key moves so much that you don't need to. The game becomes FF2, D2 or 214. In Tekken 7 you'd see him utilise all of his Karate.

I'm talking about Jin and his Kyokushin Karate. Not the lore. Not his Dad. Not his Auntie. Not a Bear. Not anything else other than Jins fighting in the gameplay. The question is "what the fuck is everyone seeing with this gif that they're not getting?" 😂
