It was always being pushed by the stupidest people, so I assumed there was nothing there. I didn't know how right I was until Michael Tracey brought some facts to my attention. I had been under the impression that the idea that Epstein belonged to intelligence was in some government document somewhere. But the entire narrative is based on nothing but one anonymous quote from a Daily Beast article. That's it. Michael thinks the quote probably came from Steve Bannon, a known conspiracy theorist who makes wild and unsubstantiated claims on a regular basis.
