'Joe Root is a great player but I do not put him in the same category as Smith & Kohli. He’s one below them.' -Darren Lehmann on Kohli, Smith & Root.

@darren_lehmann Smith has never scored a 4th innings century ! Averages 30, 4th innings. Every player is always gonna have 1 stat you can negatively impact their legacy upon.

@darren_lehmann Partially agree... Williamson and sharma don't have great test records in away tests... Williamson has scored 19 of his 32 centuries at home... No centuries in SA... Rohit has scored 10 out of 12 test centuries at home. Root, sharma and Williamson are in the same bracket...

@darren_lehmann Joe Root hasn’t gone 500 days with a test century like Smith or Kohli ? He hasn’t averaged in the 30s for a considerable period. He’s scored 12000 test runs with 35 centuries. If he surpasses Sachin for all time test runs, will he still behind Kohli & Smith @darren_lehmann ?

@darren_lehmann That young man will at the end is "Yashasvi Jaiswal'

@darren_lehmann Totally agreed Root made almost 300 on flat track against pak . But when pak made spinning track he can't even thought 50 that's made him way behind kohli What's the point of having world class player when he can't win you matches in difficult conditions

@darren_lehmann Did he just say sharma has test 100 in Australia? 🤣

@darren_lehmann Root is literally carrying a bang average batting line up.

@darren_lehmann Hilarious nonsense.

@darren_lehmann Disagree, root is far more consistent than those 2 and have scored everywhere

@darren_lehmann How is Rohit a world class player as he hasn't scored a test century in Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka and New Zealand and as for Williamson he hasn't scored a test century in SA and he averages 21
