John de Lancie. Q. Star Trek: Borg (1996), PC

I never knew about this game. You gotta love the quality of the Star Trek FMVs, it almost feels like a legit episode.

This one was really good as they basically used the same props and stage as the series. It's really like as if you are in an interactive TNG episode. Still have the box.

I don't know what you mean. All I know, is, that I played it, and it worked just fine.

All I mean is that, as far as I remember, this is a fan-made version remastered using AI from the Japanese DVD version.

Oh, I don't know about that. I am not familiar. It worked, and the videos were good quality. As much as I liked it, I would prefer a remaster and release on GOG, though.

There are various longplays of this available on Youtube, as you might expect. Bloody fine work on the part of de Lancie. Highly recommended.

I vaguely remember this game when the protag gets assimilated and then Q appears (as a Borg) and your targeting matrix just flickers "UNKNOWN" for like 2 seconds then flicks on as "Borg" Basically from that you can assume Q's race was not discovered by the Borg and they kind of want to keep it that way (more so in the Voyager episodes where he rants at Junior)

Why is this defunct game I've never heard of still so much better than current Trek?

Loved this game. But my version had a bug where I got to a critical decision near the end and the game would freeze. No matter what I did I couldn’t pick any option

I would buy a Beamdog upgrade of all the Simon and Schuster Star Trek goodies so fast the money would be on fire.

Wasn't the cube already on its way to Earth when Q violated Continuum rules by giving Picard advanced warning? For which Q was punished? Or was putting humanity "on trial" to decide whether to intervene rather than whether to wipe humanity out? Ah well, unreliable omnipotent🤷‍♂️
