Here’s my footage that I filmed from the passenger seat of Nick Sortor’s car last night when we drove by the autonomous zone in Madison Wisconsin when he was attacked by them. Nick got out and made jokes to them to try to get them to laugh. It did not go well and then started threatening to kill him. I do not believe they knew who either Nick or I were. I was in the passenger seat with a hood over my head trying to discreetly film. That’s even more scary because we could have been anyone - they didn’t attack us because we were journalists. This could happen to anyone who goes to that autonomous zone. The black lady who was swinging the pole at Nick was one of the people who obviously wanted to harm me while I was in the autonomous zone yesterday. I was terrified they would recognize me and come after me. The cops in Madison that we spoke to after the incident were amazing. They very much want to arrest people and get the autonomous zone down. I have nothing negative to say about how they handled it last night after Nick called 911. If the cops can’t go in there, it’s because the city and the mayor of Madison are not allowing them to.

This group of friends were celebrating a birthday, they had brought heir own cake in which was purchased at a high end bakery in the area. The server said they could use that cake instead of theirs but it would be a $400 cutting fee so they cut it themselves outside, I would do the same, that price is outrageous. There was a time in Hudson, Ohio where we went to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The restaurant was upscale but wasn’t like a 4 star place or anything. When I booked the reservation for 4 people we told them it was for a birthday. I asked them specifically if I was allowed to bring our own cake, our friend has food allergies and I had to get his cake at a specialty place that made a gluten free cake. They said it shouldn’t be an issue. They checked with the manager and the manager said it was ok. After having our dinner we were ready to do the cake. So I went to the car to get it so I could surprise him. At the door I was stopped by the hostess who told me it was against the rules to bring outside food in.
